While a review of the Blackberry Mini Stereo Speaker may sound like it's better suited for our friends over at Crackberry.com, the tiny Bluetooth speaker works rather well with our Windows Phones.

The Mini Stereo Speaker is compact, has very good audio quality and has decent battery life. While the mini speaker works great as a external speaker for listening to music, it may not be very practical as a hands-free solution for your Windows Phone.

PlayUp - The new JBL-Noka portable speaker with NFC

Bloomberg BusinessWeek and Nokia’s own Chris Weber have revealed that JBL and Nokia are getting together for some new NFC-enabled mobile speakers called PlayUp.

Much like the Play360 currently on the market from Nokia, the new JBL-Nokia offerings look to improve upon their existing model of high quality portable media speakers. The device is expected to feature NFC and Bluetooth for easy connectivity and since Nokia’s new Lumia lineup will feature NFC, it makes a good pair for retail.

Not content with your Windows Phone speaker for audio playback? Looking for a compact, external speaker for your Windows Phone? We may have just what you're looking for over at the WPCentral Accessory Store with the Naztech Mini Boom Speaker ($18.95).

The compact speaker isn't much larger than a golf ball, can act as a stand alone MP3 player, and comes in three color choices (pink, black and blue). The Naztech Mini Boom Speaker is an option to consider and while the sound quality didn't knock my socks off, it wasn't too shabby for such a small speaker.

I love it when my iPhone toting friends start describing why their phone is the superior device on the smartphone market. My typical response is going through the list of things that my Tilt does that their precious iPhone does not. The primary weakness that I tend to bring up is the lack of A2DP (Bluetooth stereo audio) support.
