Besides using your Windows Phone for calls and text messages, the next best thing is evidently media. And that includes watching TV on the go. While Hulu remains the king of mobile TV here in the US, its limited region access prevents it from being a global phenomenon. Luckily, Windows Phone users are about to get another service for their trusty phones.
FilmOn (http://www.filmon.com) is a company started in 2006 and they bring 500 live streaming TV channels and video on demand channels to the ‘net and increasingly, mobile. They already have apps for iOS, Android and even BlackBerry, so it’s about time Windows Phone gets on board. The company has had some legal issues, namely from US broadcasters who don’t want their content re-broadcasted, but evidently FilmOn won an appeals and they can still broadcast. It's seriously a neat service, especially if you're "cord cutters" like ourselves.
