With the Surface Pro 3 shipping by the end of the week, it looks like Microsoft engineers are readying some fixes that will improve the experience of using the tablet . Asking for user feedback, a digital artist suggests that the home button was too easily activated when in use and that there is a little bit of pen lag. Microsoft listened and it looks like fixes are incoming for both issues.

Earlier today we reported that the Surface 2 with LTE has begun to arrive at select Microsoft Stores for an impending launch.  The Surface 2 with LTE shipments are starting to arrive at Stores in order to build up inventory for an imminent launch. Here in the United States the Surface 2 with LTE will work on AT&T’s network, while abroad you’ll be using Vodafone. The option to hop to the internet without Wi-Fi or tethering is definitely appealing. But we’re wondering how the majority of you all connect to the internet on your tablet.

When we first heard of Dell’s XPS 11 2in1 Ultrabook, it was a case of uncertain identity. A seemingly impossibly thin Windows 8 device made possible by including a touch sensitive keyboard in substitution for a standard mechanical one. Dell’s website told us it was an “Ultrabook”, but Dell Public Relations insisted it was a “tablet first”.

Whatever it may be, we sat down with it and we are quite impressed, but it all depends if you are looking for a tablet or a notebook.

Sony's line of VAIO Flip PCs are a very interesting and beautiful concept for the future of Windows 8 computers. They appear to be Ultrabooks, but have a latch that releases the screen and allows the display to flip 180 degrees backward on a fulcrum. This year at CES 2014, Sony has just introduced a new addition to the lineup – the VAIO Fit 11A Flip PC.

The creation of Android/Windows 8 hybrid machines is nothing new. I personally wrote an editorial a month ago, entitled "A Tale of Split Personalities: Windows 8-Android Hybrids", that concentrated on the negative effects these machines could have on the Windows 8 ecosystem.

This year at CES 2014, the trend continues as Asus announced its Transformer Book Duet TD300. The unit itself can be dual-booted between Microsoft's Windows 8 and Google's Android Jelly Bean operating systems.

Panasonic may not be the top household name when it comes to Windows PCs, but they have certainly carved their niche into the market with their line of Toughbook and Toughpad products. Touted as the world's most rugged PCs, the Tough series gives military and law enforcement personal a laptop they can truly work with.

This year at CES 2014, Panasonic has announced a new Windows 8 tablet, dubbed the Toughpad FZ-M1, that is being described as "the world's thinnest and lightest fully-rugged 7 inch Windows tablet".

It's no secret that Windows 8 runs beautifully on a tablet and we've got our fair share of products available. European manufacturer bq has now jumped on-board. Nokia announces the Lumia 2520, their first Windows RT 8.1 tablet with a 10.1-inch display and Zeiss optics.

Nokia. Windows 8. Tablet. Yeah, it’s happening. Nokia’s been rumored to have a tablet in the pipeline for years now, but has finally announced one here at Nokia World 2013 in Abu Dhabi. The Lumia 2520 is the first device from Nokia powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor. This might look like your typical tablet running Windows RT on paper, but it has the typical Nokia twist you find in their smartphones. Let’s take a look at some of the official specs before we get our hands-on with the device shortly.

We’ve been wanting to see Windows on smaller tablets for a long, long time. The Acer W3 came out earlier this summer, but its poor screen and lack of Windows 8.1 as default held it back. Thankfully with Windows 8.1 hitting the world tomorrow we’ll begin to see more and more devices in the 7 to 8-inch size. Lenovo has a new one joining the likes of the Dell Venue and others. It’s called the Miix2 and it looks like a winner on paper so far. Specs and pricing after the break.

Lenovo's IdeaPad YOGA 2 Pro is on sale now

Lenovo’s IdeaPad YOGA 2 Pro is officially on sale and starting at $1,049. When the original YOGA was released, we considered it close to perfection; the new Lenovo YOGA 2 Pro brings that dream one step closer to reality.

The YOGA 2 Pro sports a 3200 x 1800 10-point multi-touch display and is backed up by IPS support. Additional improvements include a new Lenovo Transition system, which automatically locks the keyboard in place when the hinge is flipped 360 degrees into tablet mode. The keyboard has also been upgraded and includes a backlit keyboard for easy use in low light situations.

We’re under two weeks away from learning all about what Nokia has in store for Windows Phone and Windows 8. On October 22nd, Nokia will announce a wide range of new devices in Abu Dhabi for both platforms. The two rumored devices that we're most excited about are the Lumia 1520 and 2520. The first is a “phablet” running Windows Phone 8 with a 1080p display, while the second is a tablet on Windows RT.

We haven’t seen a cyan device from Nokia in quite some time, but it looks like the tablet is going to bring it back.
