Last month, the Windows 8 version of Rayman Jungle Run received a sizable update. Ubisoft added 20 new levels to their beautiful 2D platformer, and for free. New levels are all very well and good, but what about the Windows Phone 8 version of the game? We assumed it would receive the same update at some point, but Ubisoft couldn’t confirm it for us.

Looks like we assumed correctly! The Windows Phone 8 version of Rayman Jungle Run just got updated with 20 new levels. The update pushes the game’s download size from 49 MB to 78 MB, but that’s still not a bad size for a AAA downloadable title. Head past the break for details and screenshots of the new stages.

Amazing Weather HD is one of our favorite weather apps for Windows Phone. The app is available for both Windows Phone 7.x and 8 devices and was updated to version 4.2.2.2 earlier today to add a few new features and fix a few bugs.

The most notable fix corrects the bug that caused lockscreen updates to not match the weather information. You also have Simplified Chines and Hungarian languages added and a optional usage data setting.

For those not familiar, Fhotoroom is a Windows Phone photography app that is part photo sharing, part camera app and part photo editor. It's been updated several times making it a rather solid photo app for both Windows Phone 7.x and 8 devices.

Both versions were recently updated, version 3.9 for Windows Phone 7.x and version 9.1.9 for Windows Phone 8, that adds accent color theme support, a new tilt shift setting and a few performance tweaks.

At Bat 13 is a feature rich Windows Phone 8 app that will keep you up to date on all the action on the diamond. You can even sign into your MLB.com account to access your MLB.TV Premium subscription, access the MLB.com Store and listen to streaming game broadcasts.

At Bat 13 was updated yesterday, taking the app to version 1.1.0.15 and get it ready for the playoffs. The update includes a new section dedicated for the 2013 playoffs with filters for all post-season series and teams.

The story of MOGA Pro Controller support for Windows Phone 8 has consisted of little else other than disappointment in the months following its March announcement. Microsoft touted Windows Phone 8’s support for the peripheral at the Game Developer Conference, where we actually played Drift Mania Championship 2 using the controller.

Somehow, the MOGA-enabled version of the game didn’t become available until June, several months after the controller arrived in stores. And since then, exactly zero Windows Phone games and emulators have included MOGA support. It’s like the March announcement was just a cruel joke.

The cruelty of that joke has just diminished, because a second game now supports the controller! Spectral Souls, the massive strategy RPG from HyperDevBox has been updated to work with the MOGA Pro Controller. We also know of at least one other app that will definitely support it upon release. Details after the break!

Instagraph is a popular Instagram client for our Windows Phone that was the first to allow uploads to the photo sharing network. The Windows Phone photography app was updated today to version 2.6 and adds new features to both the Windows Phone 7.x and 8 versions.

Network Dashboard is a rather nice Windows Phone app that allows you to pin common network tasks to your Start Screen. Network Dashboard was recently updated to version 3.0 to support Windows Phone 8. With the update the developer has dropped the price to free and brings along a few new features for good measure.

The version 3.0 adds a tile for location services as well as status detection for Bluetooth and Airplane mode. You also have a new default Metro Live Tile style and an in-app purchase for additional tile styles.

The addition of Hipstamatic’s Oggl and Oggl Pro to the Windows Phone Store was welcomed by community. The app was first announced back in May and finally joined the platform after the launch of the Nokia Lumia 1020 in the United States.

Two versions exist, Oggl and Oggl Pro, with the latter a special edition of the app going to users on the Lumia 1020. Performance was sluggish at first, but has slowly been improving with a fairly constant stream of updates. What’s the latest update bring?

Console gamers might be aware that Rayman Legends just launched on Xbox 360 and other platforms this week. By all accounts, Legends is another sublime platformer like Rayman Origins before it. Awesome for Xbox owners, but how about mobile Windows platforms? Don’t they get any love?

Turns out they do! Windows 8 and RT users, anyway. Rayman Jungle Run, one of the finest Xbox Windows 8 games in town, got a major update recently. The free update adds 20 new levels, pushing Jungle Run’s grand total up to 70 levels. Pictures and impressions after the break!

Last week we reviewed the Windows Phone game Yatzy Online and found it to be a decent Yahtzee styled game except for some annoying advertising banners. Banners that cover up the top portion of the screen, preventing you access to a few menu options.

We just received word from the game's developers that this overlapping of the ad-banner shouldn't be happening. A fix will be going out over the next week or so to correct this issue and until then, the developer has suspended the ad service.

Some of us were stunned when myTube was pulled from the Windows Phone Store, with many wondering if it was a cease and desist request from Google. Luckily, it wasn't and the issue was simply a bad XAP uploaded to the store for consumers to update to. Thus the app was pulled while a patch was implemented. Here we are, the popular YouTube app is now once again available.
