Threema has been promising for some time that its popular end-to-end messaging app was in development for Windows Phone. Today, the company confirmed that the app will be released in the Windows Phone Store sometime on Thursday.

In a Twitter post, Threema also stated, "In celebration the first 10K users will get Threema at half-price!" There's no word yet on what the company will charge for the Windows Phone app.

In case you are unfamiliar with Threema, here's their own quick summary of their app and service:

"Threema is a mobile messaging app that puts security first. With true end-to-end encryption, you can rest assured that only you and the intended recipient can read your messages. Unlike other popular messaging apps (including those claiming to use encryption), even we as the server operator have absolutely no way to read your messages."

Will you be using Threema when it is released on Thursday?
