Titanfall 2 video reveals matchmaking plans; live multiplayer reveal coming Aug. 16

Developer, Respawn Entertainment, has posted a new video describing their matchmaking plans for the upcoming first-person shooter sequel Titanfall 2 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The video, as posted on YouTube, shows Respawn's Mike Kalas talking about how in Titanfall 2 matchmaking will be based on more than just a player's win and loss record, The developer will also be looking at each player's contribution in matches so they can be placed in matches appropriate for their level. He also talks about how Respawn will be using Titanfall 2's upcoming tech test to refine their matchmaking system

Also, publisher Electronic Arts will show live multiplayer from the game in a livestream event on Aug. 16 from Gamescom 2016 in Cologne, Germany. A number of well-known Twitch and YouTube gaming personalities will be part of the event, which will take place at 2 p.m. Eastern time. Windows Central will be at Gamescom with first-hand reports from the show floor.

Titafall 2 is scheduled to be released to store on October 28.
