Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris announced for Xbox One and PC

In a bit of a surprise, not one but two new Tomb Raider games were announced today as part or the overall E3 2014 festivites. In addition to Rise of the Tomb Raider that's due out in late 2015, publisher Square Enix has announced Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, which will be coming to the Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 consoles.

The game is a follow up to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, which was first released in 2010. Like that game, Temple of Osiris is a top down action-adventure game but unlike Guardian of Light, which supported just two players in its co-op campaign, the new game supports four player co-op. In addition to Lara, players can control a new character that's a competing "tomb raider" along with the wife and son of Osiris.

Square Enix has not announced a release date or price point for Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, but it sounds like it will be a downloadable title rather than a retail game.
