Tubecast hits the 1 million download milestone for Windows platforms

Tubecast, one of the most popular third-party YouTube clients for Windows platforms, has hit a new achievement. The developer behind Tubecast, Stephane, has announced that the app has reached the one million download milestone across all of its Windows versions.

The app was first launched for Windows Phone and in March 2015 it became a universal app with its debut in the Windows Store. Stephane has been adding many improvements to the app in the past several months, including support for running YouTube videos in 4K resolution, along with casting videos to TVs via Chromecast, Roku and others. Tubecast comes in a free version, with an in-app purchase to unlock more features. There's also TubeCast Pro, which allows users to simply get all of the app's features for $2.99.
