The Turing Test will wrack your brain in August on Xbox One and PC

Pneuma: Breath of Life developers Bulkhead Interactive will be releasing a new game in August that will challenge the player's mind. The Turing Test is a first-person sci-fi puzzle game that is coming to the PC and the Xbox One.

The title of the game refers to the famous thought experiment from UK computer pioneer Alan Turing in 1950, who proposed a test to determine if a machine could show intelligence that was indistinguishable from a human being. The Turing Test game refers to the name of its main character Ava Turing. She is on a mission to study life that has been discovered on Jupiter's moon Europa.

"Wrack your brain whilst discovering the truth of humanity's research base on Europa, solving puzzles using your EMT (Energy Manipulation Tool) to transpose power out from one object and into another. Power up and take control of artificially intelligent machines, manipulate giant structures, and solve complex tasks. All of this is woven into a multi-layered story based on the human struggle for power which can only be experienced through the interactive medium of video games."

Bulkhead Interactive is also working on a second game, the World War II shooter Battalion 1944. It raised over £300,000 to help fund it in a recent Kickstarter campaign, and sales from The Turing Test will also go into funding the development of Battalion 1944 for a planned release in early 2017.
