We love updates for our apps, especially when they bring new features to the table. Twitter for Windows Phone just received an update that does in fact bring a few new features. Let’s check out what’s new in the latest version of Twitter.

It was in early October that Twitter for Windows Phone had its last big update. That brought the app to version 3.0 and brought a ton of new features. The biggest being a new dark theme, new languages, and lockscreen support. It was a killer update. Today we’re looking at version of Twitter in the Store. What’s new? This is new:

  • Never miss a Tweet - Get notifications when your favorite accounts Tweet.
  • Delete individual DMs by long pressing a single message
  • Various bug fixes and improvements

Sure enough, you can now delete individual direct messages by long pressing a single one of them. It’s handy if you want to delete some sensitive information. Of course the app includes various bug fixes and other improvements, so if you notice anything there let us know.

The app is also now claiming to notify you when your favorite accounts tweet. That’s a feature that was listed in the previous update, so we’re not sure why they’re listing it again. Maybe they’ve improved it since then? Let us know if you notice anything different in that area.
