UK Members of Parlaiment will reportedly be using a version of Microsoft's Surface tablets soon. The devices are supposed to help the lawmakers vote in their chambers, a big improvement on the current system which can appear like just a lot of chaos and yelling.
According to The Register
"The overhaul is due "in the very near future", Therese Coffey, deputy leader of the House of Commons, announced today in response to a question by Labour MP Meg Hillier. The new voting system will save about 15 minutes each time a "division" is called. And the devices? MPs will get to play with Microsoft Surface tablets."
If this does happen, it may mean that a lot of the yelling that MPs usually do during their voting sessions could be curbed.
Thanks to Gareth for the tip!
