U.S. Minecraft fans can get a monthly Mine Chest worth of goodies for $30 a month

Minecraft fans who want to get more from the sandbox game can do so with Mine Chest, a newly-launched monthly subscription service that's endorsed by the game's development team Mojang. It offers a box full of official Minecraft merchandise for the price of $29.99 a month, plus taxes and $7 for shipping and handling.

Each monthly Mine Chest box will include "Minecraft gear, exclusive items, and neat DIY crafting recipes", such as t-shirts, toys and more. Some of those items will be exclusive to Mine Chest. At the moment, the subscription is only available for U.S. residents, but Mojang hopes to expand Mine Chest to other parts of the world in the near future.

If you are interesting in joining, you can sign up at the Mine Chest website before the end of February to get the first beta box, which is scheduled to ship beginning in May. At the moment, the only subscription plan is from month-to-month.
