Last week, Verizon Wireless began selling its version of Microsoft's Lumia 735 smartphone. Now the carrier has already put the Windows Phone 8.1 device on sale, at least for two-year contract customers. The price for the phone under that contract is now just $29.99, rather than its normal $79.99 rate. The no-contract price remains the same at $192.
In addition, the Microsoft Store site is selling the same Lumia 735 from Verizon, but for $49 with a new two-year contract, or $199 without a contract. However, the site is selling the phone bundled with a free set of Nokia headphones. There are no details as to what the headphones are like, nor their approximate value.
Keep in mind that anyone who buys the Lumia 735 from Verizon before July 31 will also be able to claim a free one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal, which normally costs $69.99.
