Microsoft has offered some more information about their previously announced plans to release a 1 TB version of their Xbox One console as a special bundle and promotion with Activision to promote the release of the upcoming first person shooter Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.
The info comes from a video clip that shows Microsoft Xbox One design team employees, along with members of Sledgehammer Games, talking about various aspects of this special edition of the Xbox One. Besides its roomier 1 TB hard drive, the console and the controller have special paint jobs that are highly detailed. For example, a "kill count" has been painted on the controller to lmake it look like it has been etched in by a member of the game's fictitious military team.
The console itself has artwork designed to represent the game's Sentinel Task Force, including an icon that looks like a ancient Roman soldier helmet on top. There's also paint that looks like oil droppings that's supposed to suggest that the console gets a lot of use in interesting locations. Even the console's start up sounds have been alerted to sound like items from the game
Pre-orders for the 1 TB Xbox One Call of Duty Advanced Warfare bundle are currently underway for the price of $499.99 and it will be launched on November 4th, the day of the game's release. Are you planning to get this special version of the Xbox One?
