The VideoLAN team is still hard at work on getting the Windows Phone version of its VLC media player completed. Today, the app took a big step forward as the team got it working on an ARM-based device, specifically the Surface 2 tablet.
In a post on Twitter, team member Hugo Beauzée-Luyssen showed a photo of VLC running on the Surface 2, saying, "We're really glad to finally have something running, and can't wait to ship it!." Fellow VideoLAN team member Thomas Nigro posted his own message today, saying, "Yeah! VLC is finally working on ARM devices like Surface RT and windows phone! You should thank @beauzeh who did a really huge work!!"
Will you be using VLC when the Windows Phone version is released?
