Windows 10

Microsoft's Xbox leader Phil Spencer has confirmed that his presence at the company's upcoming Windows 10 press event on January 21 will have him talk about PC gaming on the operating system.

In a Twitter post this morning, Spencer said, "I'll be focusing more on what we are doing on Win10 in January, it's time for us to talk about gaming on Windows." Some people speculated that Spencer might talk about how Windows 10 will work on the company's Xbox One console during the event. However, Spencer had indicated a few weeks that Microsoft would begin to talk about their future plans for PC gaming in early 2015.

Microsoft will launch DirectX 12, the next version of its graphics API, as part of the Windows 10 release, which is now scheduled to happen sometime in the early fall time period of 2015.
