If you are using Windows 10 Mobile you may want to check for an update under Settings. No, it's not a new Fast Ring update with an OS but there is a new Insider Fast configuration one that is available.

There is no word on what this update involves, but we have seen them in the past. Obviously, these updates are to keep your device in top shape for the next Insider release, so you'll want to download it sooner than later. Having said that, don't expect to see any performance improvements or other changes.

Microsoft has not said when the next release for Mobile is due as the current 10536 build is just a week old. Indeed, according to our recent poll only 38 percent of you are satisfied with this release while a majority – 49 percent – agree that it is 'okay but underwhelming'.

What to expect from Microsoft's Windows 10 devices event in NYC

Hopefully, the next release won't take another month. In fact, we would not expect that as Microsoft is set to announce officially Windows 10 Mobile and new flagship phones in just two weeks.

To grab the update head into Settings > Update & Security > Phone Update > Check for Updates

Thanks, Hans S., for the tip!
