Microsoft is pushing out two new non-Insider updates for Windows 10 PC owners. One is a standard cumulative update while the other updates the servicing stack for the OS.
The cumulative update has the support number KB3140743, with the change log stating
"This update includes improvements to enhance the functionality of Windows 10 Version 1511 and Windows Server 2016 Technical Preview 4."
After installing the update, the build number for Windows 10 goes up to 10586.122.
The service stack update has the support number KB3140743. The change log simply states:
"This update makes stability improvements for Windows 10 Version 1511 and Windows Server 2016 Technical Preview 4 servicing stack."
To manually check for the update head to All settings > Update & security > Windows update > Check for update and it should start downloading. A system restart is required to apply the OS patch.
No changelog has yet been posted by Microsoft regarding today's update, but if they do it will be posted on the new Windows 10 Update History page found here.
