Members of the Windows Insider program who were hoping to download new preview builds for Windows 10 on the PC and mobile side will have to wait at least a few more days. The head of the Windows Insider program, Gabriel Aul, has confirmed that the team won't be releasing new builds this week.

On Thursday, Aul posted on his Twitter account that their Windows 10 Mobile build in Microsoft's internal testing ring "had too high a crash rate, so we're taking a couple of key fixes and re-spinning". Later on Thursday, he wrote a follow-up post, saying, " ... we have a new build with the reliability fixes going into Fast ring, so will take a few days to evaluate."

And what about a new Windows 10 PC preview build? Aul stated today, "No, the PC build candidate isn't through Microsoft wide ring yet, so not eligible to go to Fast today." The last version of Windows 10 sent to members of the Insider program in the Fast ring was build 10547, released on September 18. The last Windows 10 Mobile version was build 10536, which was made available on September 14.
