Windows Phone 7 Rumor: Sony Ericsson Julie

Add Sony Ericsson to the growing list of potential Windows Phone 7 device rumors. There are plenty of rumors surrounding HTC devices and now Sony is rumored to have the Julie.

The Julie is reported to have a 4" screen and sliding QWERTY keyboard along with the standard WP7 goodies (1 gigahertz processor, multi-touch capability, etc).

Sony was mentioned amongst the many hardware launch partner when Windows Mobile 7 was announced during the 2010 Mobile World Congress.  So the rumors aren't that far of a reach except Sony hasn't been a major player on the Windows Phone front.  Maybe things are about to change.

Still, it would be interesting to see a Sony WP7 phone with Xbox integration. I wonder how the Play Station crowd will react.

Windows Phone 7 Rumor: Sony Ericsson Julie

I thought they already announced they were a licensee. Basically all the 6.x licensees are working on 7 and then some.

SE really produced some wonderful gadgets, but it always takes months for them to bring the products to market - if not years...

I love all the products produced by SE.Diversity is one of the core strengths of the company, with operations in over 80 countries. No doubt it takes time to bring the products to market but we can avoid that by seeing features of its products.

Yea, it would be interesting to see a Sony WP7 with Xbox integration. But since OEM can bundle their own apps maybe Sony could bundle a PSN Hub doing some of the Xbox live stuff, like friends list and messages. PSN games might be outta the question or will it? interesting indeed.

Let's hope SE doesn't stay true to form with release dates. Otherwise the first SE WP7 device won't show up until Dec 2012.
