Windows Phone App Review: Money Calc

Money Calculator for Windows Phone

Do you ever have the need for a financial calculator? If so, Money Calc might be the Windows Phone app you're looking for.

Money Calc is laid out simply with all the financial tools spread out in panorama fashion. You have calculators to determine loan payments, investment returns, tips, sale tax, and gas costs.  Beyond the tools, there isn't much to Money Calc and what you get with the app, is plenty to get the job done.

The calculator's interface is straight forward in that you just fill in the blanks and your expenses are calculated at the bottom of the screen. I can see Money Calc coming in handy when you're shopping for cars, looking to make an investment or simply need to figure out how much of a tip to leave at the Diner.

The one thing that would help improve Money Calc is reverse calculations. For example, for the times you need to know how much money you can borrow when you have a set monthly payment or how much you would need to invest to yield a certain amount of interest. While you can find the values through trial and error, it would be nice to reverse things to determine those variables.

All in all, Money Calc is a very nice financial app for your Windows Phone. There is a free trial version available with the full version costing $.99. You can find Money Calc here at the Windows Phone Marketplace.
