Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers looking to give online multiplayer a shot can do so for free this weekend. Xbox Live has kicked off a free multiplayer weekend running from October 27-30, allowing anyone to play online without paying for a Gold subscription.

Xbox runs promotions like this every so often, and it's a good way to get a taste of online multiplayer in your favorite games without having to shell out any money. To sweeten the deal this time, however, Xbox One gamers will also get to play Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for free this weekend as well.

Are you going to give online multiplayer a shot this weekend? Let us know in the comments below which game you're planning to try!
