Xbox head says that he is 'very sorry' for the continued Xbox Live issues [Update: Xbox Live is back up]

Update: It looks like things are all back to normal on Xbox Live, at least for now

Microsoft is still dealing with issues with its Xbox Live service today, and it's so bad that the head of the Xbox division, Phil Spencer, posted a message on his Twitter account apologizing for the continued problems.

Microsoft has had a lot of brief Xbox Live issues in the past several days, but on Monday they hit a new low as many services, such as signing up, purchasing digital access content were down for many users for a number of hours. Those problems seemed to be resolved earlier today, but now the Xbox Live status page shows that some users are still experiencing problems purchasing digital content.

In a post on Twitter, Spencer pointed to the Xbox Support Twitter account for people to get up-to-date updates on the situation, and then he added, "Very sorry for the current issues." So far, Microsoft has not commented on what is causing the Xbox Live problems.
