Xbox One releases for the week of July 18, 2016

As we pass the middle on July, the 'drought' of game releases is at its peak, with no triple-A releases on the Xbox One over the coming seven days. Aside from the sole release of retro-platformer Cast of the Seven Godsends – Redux, this week is yet another quiet period for Xbox One gamers.

Cast of the Seven Godsends - Redux

Price: $6.99 // Genre: Platformer

Cast of the Seven Godsends harks back to the days when classic 2D, run 'n gun, action-shooter games ruled the arcades. Four levels of difficulty, six worlds to conquer, twelve mid and end-of-level bosses, seven god-like armour sets, five basic weapons and thirty-five magic combat spells!

Looking forward

Next week's lineup picks up the pace, with the release of Compulsion Games' highly-anticipated We Happy Few on the Xbox One Game Preview program. The preview is expected to provide players with a fraction of the final package, including the game's unique, procedurally-generated survival mode. Fallout 4 players will also receive the Vault-Tec Workshop DLC, which gives vault-dwellers the tools to design their own vaults in Fallout 4's universe.
