New this week for Xbox One: Watch Dogs 2, Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection

As we approach the middle of November, there are still a number of big releases to come over the remainder of the year. This week Ubisoft is set to release two anticipated titles for Xbox One, with the worldwide release of Watch Dogs 2 and Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection. Other noteworthy releases include Worms Anniversary Edition and Overcooked's new Gourmet Edition.

Our top picks this week:

Watch Dogs 2

Among this week's biggest titles is the return to Ubisoft's return to its open world hacking series, Watch Dogs 2. In response to the first game which was criticized for its fair share of flaws, Watch Dogs 2 is shaping up to a title packed with more expansive locations, gameplay and characters.

Taking place in a fictional representation of San Francisco, players gain control of small time hacker Marcus Holloway. After crossing paths with a notorious hacking group known as DedSec, players are given the tools to fight against the controlling city-wide operating system known as ctOS 2.0.

In terms of gameplay, Watch Dogs 2's core mechanics are mostly unchanged, despite some major changes to the world and surrounding content. Submerging players in this living city not only creates a compelling world but also serves as a platform for more freedom and gameplay opportunities.

Watch Dogs 2 is set to arrive on Tuesday, November 15 for Xbox One. For those hoping to play on PC, the game has been delayed two additional weeks, to November 29, for further optimization tweaks.

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection

While we're not getting a new entry to the Assassin's Creed series this year, The Ezio Collection gives players the opportunity to revisit the past with three games in a single package. Debuting for the first time on consoles, the collection brings together Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed Revelations with enhanced visuals.

Inside the package, players will gain access to the single-player portion of all three titles alongside any post-release add-on content released. However, the game's iconic online multiplayer will not be making a return.

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection releases on Xbox One on Friday, November 18 for Xbox One.
