Microsoft's upcoming over-the-air TV DVR feature for the Xbox One that was officially revealed last week at Gamescom 2015 will launch first in only three countries: the US, the UK and Canada. The new feature is still expected to be made available sometime in 2016.
The launch countries were confirmed by a Microsoft spokesperson to VG247, and added that the TV DVR release dates for other countries where the Xbox One is available will be revealed "at a later date". While attending Gamescom 2015 we got more info on the upcoming TV DVR feature from Microsoft, including the fact that it will require an external hard drive be connected to the console. It will also allow for recorded TV shows to be streamed to Windows 10 devices via the Xbox app.
