Microsoft's Xbox leader Phil Spencer used his Twitter account today to post a teaser image of the upcoming, and long promised, Xbox One screenshot feature. The feature is scheduled to be released as part of a system update later in 2015.
Spencer wrote, "Nice to finally be doing this on my Xbox One dev kit", in his post that showed the screenshot feature in action. In a later post he wrote, "I just wanted to share that it's finally working the way we want it to work. Nice work by the team."
Spencer promised that the Xbox One would add the screenshot feature back in October, but in a podcast interview in December he admitted this addition wouldn't be released until 2015. The delay is due to some unnamed technical issues, with Spencer saying at that time, "We can do video, how hard can it be to just grab a frame of the video? It's a little more technically challenging than I thought."
