AE History Lifetime

Can't get enough Duck Dynasty, Project Runway or Pawn Stars? Then you're going to be pretty happy to learn that A+E Television Networks has released three Windows 8.1 apps for their three most popular television channels. Welcome Lifetime, A&E and HISTORY to Windows and your Surface.

A&E Television Networks is a joint venture between Heart Corporation and Disney-ABC Television Group. A&E, History (originally The History Channel) and Lifetime are the television channels you're most familiar with from the group.

Between those three channels, you get an impressive selection of popular television. While it may not be our cup of tea, you can look forward to programs like Pawn Star, Swamp People, American Pickers, Ax Men, Devious Maids, Dance Moms, Project Runway, Shipping Wars, Duck Dynasty, Storage Wars and more! Again, some fairly popular content is included in these apps.

All apps are similar in functionality and features, here's what you get with the three apps:

  • Full episodes and clips from your favorite television series
  • The ability to create a customized watchlist of your favorite shows
  • Exclusive clips from shows, never before shown on television

Dance Moms

Like most television network apps, you'll need to sign in through your television provider to get access to full episodes.

We don't watch much content on these networks, but we're sure a handful of you out there will look forward to watching a few of these programs on your Surface 2 or brand-new Surface Pro 3 ( read our review!).

Have any (guilty) favorite series from the networks above? What should we check out? Sound off below and enjoy!
