Good news for you folk in the UK that use EE as your network of choice. Today see's the countries largest carrier announce their 4G service in 15 new towns – including – Gateshead, Birkenhead, East Grinstead, Leighton Buzzard, Wallasey, South Shields, Wakefield, Coatbridge, Lisburn, Bangor (NI), Newtownards, Omagh, Port Talbot and Neath. This follows the recent announcement that EE is expanding its double-speed 4G network to 20 more towns and cities before the end of 2014.

From today, EE Windows Phone users in the UK can now take advantage of a new service launched by the network called EE Tickets. For those of you that like to go to music concerts, theatre shows etc., you can sign up with the new service and receive notifications when new deals are available. With many tickets being offered at a discounted rate what's not to like?

It would appear that the UK mobile consumer is loving 4G, according to the latest statement from EE. The network, who was first to introduce LTE to the UK, had a target of signing up one million subscribers in 2013 and it only took ten months to get to that goal. During the following four months a further one million folk joined EE which goes to prove two things.

UK network EE has today announced it has teamed up with AT&T to offer visitors to the UK 4G LTE services, with more carriers to follow suit in the New Year. What this means (initially) for AT&T Windows Phone customers who pop over the pond is that they will automatically pick up the EE 4G network as long as you have a 4G enabled device.

Huawei have made the Ascend W2 UMTS version official - giving consumers in the smartphone market yet another option when deciding on which smartphone to purchase. According to the below press release the device should be available now in China (but has already been listed at retailers) - with roll outs later this month to Russia and the Netherlands, and further markets to follow in due course.
