The highly anticipated first-person action game Battleborn from developer Gearbox Software will take a little longer to be completed. The game was scheduled for release on February 9, 2016 but it has now been pushed back nearly three months to May 3, 2016.

The announcement of its delay was made by Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Battleborn's publisher, Take 2 Games, as part of its quarterly financial results. The company did not offer an explanation of why Battleborn's release was being delayed. Gearbox recently started closed technical tests for the game, which will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
