Battlefield 1's Turning Tides DLC debuts on December 11

Electronic Arts has shared further details on Battlefield 1's third post-launch expansion, "Turning Tides." After previously providing details on the first wave of content, two maps are on-track for a December 11 release, to those who've purchased the game's "Premium Pass."

Battlefield 1: Turning Tides continues to expand on its multiplayer component, with new content that expands its brutal battles into the sea. The first two maps, "Cape Helles" and "Achi Baba," take place during the 1915 British amphibious assault of the Gallipoli peninsula, with a mix of both land and water-based combat.

The DLC also expands the range of weapons available in multiplayer, with six firearms, two melee weapons and a new "Infiltrator" elite class. These new maps also introduce the L-Class Destroyer – a Royal Navy ship used throughout the First World War.

Next month's content drop will be followed by two more Turning Tides maps, "Zeebrugge" and "Heligoland Blig," which take the battle two the North Sea. These are on track for January 2018.

Battlefield 1 may not get Xbox One X enhancements
