Perfect Thumb is a creative group of developers behind a series of Windows apps that share a simplistic design that delivers a nice blend of features and a user-friendly interface. The Perfect Thumb series of apps are often available for both Windows PC and Phone, ranging from YouTube clients to music players to a workout app.
These apps sneak into the Windows Store and rarely disappoint those who install them. The apps are free with in-app purchase opportunities to add features when needed and at last check, none of the apps are rated below four stars. They may not have a lot of flash, but Perfect Thumb's app collection covers the bare essentials nicely.

Considered one of the best third-party YouTube client apps, Perfect Tube lets you easily browse through YouTube's streaming video library with primary pages highlighting popular, featured and trending titles.

Winter is in the rearview mirror and many will be dusting off their New Year's resolutions to get into better shape as the temperatures rise. If you are in search of a fitness app that isn't very complicated and can be used just about anywhere, Perfect Workout is a Windows app worth considering.
Perfect Workout has over 100 animated exercises to walk you through the routines with the ability to create your own exercise. The programs available with Perfect Workout are designed for 10-minute workout sessions and are suited for both men and women. Workouts are tracked and reviewable through weekly graphs.
The free app includes the first exercise pack that includes twelve exercises the includes jumping jacks, push-ups, crunches, tri-cep dips, lunges and other routines designed for a full body workout. Additional exercise packs are available through in-app purchase and include stretches, ab workouts, six-pack, leg and butt, fat loss, muscle building and more. You can buy the packs individually for $0.99 each or pick up the Premium version of Perfect Workout for $4.99 that includes all the exercise packs.

Perfect Weather Universal
Perfect Weather Universal is one of the latest apps from Perfect Thumb and is available for Windows 10 PC and Mobile. The app delivers your current weather conditions and extended forecast in a simple and sharp package.
As with most Perfect Thumb apps, Perfect Weather Universal relies on gesture controls, making it very convenient for one-handed use while on the go. As far as weather information is concerned, Perfect Weather Universal covers the basics that includes:
- Wind speed and direction
- Sunrise/Sunset times
- Length of Day
- Barometric Pressure
- Moonrise/Moonset times
- Moon Phase
The Windows 10 app does have Live Tile support, but it lacks weather radar or severe weather alert features.
However, what helps Perfect Weather Universal stand out from similar titles are the themes and hour-to-hour forecasts. The free version of Perfect Weather Universal offers you two colorful themes with several more themes available with the Premium version ($0.99). If you slide your finger across the weather data display, the screen will transition through an hour-by-hour forecast with the theme reflecting the time of day (illustrated sun and moon phases).
While it is a basic weather app, Perfect Weather Universal delivers the weather in an eye-catching fashion. The core app is free and you can unlock all the themes (including the new Star Wars theme) with a $0.99 in-app purchase.

Perfect Music
While Groove Music does a fine job of things, some may feel the need to search for alternative music players for their Windows Phones. Enter Perfect Music, a simple way to manage and play your Windows Phone music library.
Key features for Perfect Music include:
- Listen to music by folder, albums, artists, genres, favorites, playlists, individual songs or recently played titles
- Gesture based navigation
- Support for FLAC, m4a, wma, wav and mp3 formats
- Timer feature to stop playback at a specified time
- Nine unique themes for the player
- Support for artist themes, album artwork and custom photo themes
The gesture-based navigation includes a music player screen where you can easily adjust the background themes' opacity, view the song's lyrics, pin the song to your Start Screen, tag the song as a favorite and control the volume. Just tap the album artwork to play/pause the music.
You also have a gesture-based main menu that highlights the key folder views and playback options. It will take you a few goes at it to get all the menus down pat, but once you do Perfect Music lends itself nicely to one-handed operation. This makes it very appealing for runners — or really any situation where you may only have one hand available.
Perfect Music is a solid music player alternative for your Windows Phone and is a free, ad-supported app. You can remove the ad support with a $1.49 in-app purchase.

Perfect Clock
Perfect Clock is a fantastic app that delivers a gob of clock styles to your Windows Phone. Perfect Clock is a great choice for those looking for a more unique appearance to their Start Screen. The app is mostly cosmetic in nature and lacks any alarm or timer features. Regardless, it is still an eye-catching app worth looking into.
Key features for Perfect Clock include:
- Over 30 Clock styles
- Support for 12/24-hour formats
- Sound effects for each clock style
- Multiple language support
Clock styles include analog clock faces, digital clocks, and clocks where the time is written out in text (my personal favorite). Each clock has Live Tile support to dress up your Start Screen.
The free, ad-free version of Perfect Clock has small collection of clock faces to choose from with the full library of clocks available with a $1.99 in-app purchase for the Premium version.
