An ultrawide monitor is a great way to increase the PC screen real estate you have available to use multiple apps and games without needing to purchase more than one display and then suffer from a split between them. We rounded up some of the best computer monitors, especially if you're now looking to create your own home-based office to work from there.

I recommend a few different types of displays in this page, if you want to learn more about some of the latest panel technologies check out our guide on OLED vs QLED vs AMOLED vs Mini LED to see which is best among them all.

These are the best ultrawide monitors currently available for PC (and Xbox Series X). The panels listed cater to different needs and requirements for gaming or productivity. When looking at ultrawide panels, you should be looking at the resolution, port availability, as well as refresh rates, and response times to pick the right one for you. We're partial to feature-rich displays, so if we had to pick just one, the best for screen real estate would be the LG UltraGear 38-inch monitor. It's big, bold, and reliable.

But if you want the most screen real estate possible for multitasking on projects, the Dell UltraSharp 49-inch Curved Monitor would be an excellent runner-up. It's not nearly as powerful as some of the other monitors listed here, but it's reliable and works plenty good for handling general tasks split among various windows.

Lastly, if you're looking for a good gaming monitor that also happens to be ultrawide, you can't go wrong with the Samsung Odyssey G9 49-inch monitor. It gets plenty bright thanks to that QLED panel and it's also very fast offering a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response times while supporting both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync for smoother gameplay.
