Lumia 950

A new report claims that the UK-based mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse has now halted shipments of Microsoft's Lumia 950 XL smartphone. The retailer's listing for the 5.7-inch Windows 10 Mobile device does show that is is available just as a "pre-order" with shipments of the phone scheduled to begin on January 19. The phone has already been shipping until very recently.

Smartphone blogger Gavin Fabiani-Laymon posted messages on his Twitter account stating:

"From Carphone Warehouse. The Microsoft 950 XL has been removed from sale due to issues with phone. (Standard 950 is ok). The Microsoft 950 XL will go back on sale once revisions made circa 3rd week Jan."

In a follow-up message, he stated his information came from a "Microsoft rep at CPW Plymouth store directly". There's no specific word on what "issues" the Lumia 950 XL might be experiencing.

Amazon Germany recently pulled the Lumia 950 XL from its website due to unnamed issues as well.

We have contacted both Microsoft and Carphone Warehouse to find out more about these reported problems with the phone and will follow up if we attain more information.
