Movies Anywhere, Disney's attempt to create bridges between ecosystems when it comes to movies, has now been expanded to include Microsoft's Movies & TV service. Movies Anywhere essentially lets you watch content purchased from a number of popular platforms — including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, and FandangoNow — in one place, making it easier to manage your movie collection.

Now that Microsoft has jumped on board, movies bought through the Microsoft Store are no longer restricted to being watched on Windows 10 devices and Xbox One. This is a big deal for a lot of people, including Windows Central forum member Vishvjeet Arya, who created a thread asking whether or not this means people will ramp up their movie purchases from Microsoft.

Now that Movies and TV supports MoviesAnywhere, are you going to buy stuff from the movie store? I know I will!

Streaming services are still a huge draw, but those who like to keep a digital collection will no doubt be tempted to head back to the Microsoft Store.
