What you need to know

  • Doom Eternal has a release date of November 22.
  • The title is a first-person shooter with plenty of gore.
  • The campaign takes roughly 18 to 22 hours to complete.
  • You can preorder the game for $50 at Amazon.

Doom Eternal is an upcoming first-person shooter that continues the story of the reboot. It looks absolutely spectacular on Xbox One X and should provide plenty of single-player and multiplayer enjoyment. In addition to Xbox One, Doom Eternal should be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and Nintendo Switch.

As with any single-player game, gamers want to know how long it'll take to complete the campaign. Well, it looks like it'll take you roughly a day in terms of gameplay hours. A report by Escapist Magazine revealed that it would be 18 to 22 hours.

Id Software's executive producer Marty Stratton talked with QconForums.com at QuakeCon about Doom Eternal and how long players can expect the game's campaign to last. He says that, while there is still some work to do, the game should take somewhere from 18 to 22 hours to complete.

Doom Eternal features a multiplayer mode which should keep players busy for even more hours. Hopefully, there will be single-player content down the line because it seems like the team wants to expand the universe. What better way than story expansions, right?

Recently, Bethesda announced a Doom Eternal: Collector's Edition with a wearable replica Doom Slayer helmet. The widely-anticipated collector's edition also contains a lithograph, a book of lore, Demonic Slayer skin, soundtracks from the franchise, a steel case, and the One-year Pass.
