Fable Fortune hits Xbox Game Preview next month with Play Anywhere support

Flaming Fowl Studios, the developer behind Fable Fortune, has announced the game will be released via Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access on July 11. An in-progress version of the collectible card game will be available for purchase on both Xbox One and PC, ahead of the game's final launch later this year.

Fable Fortune has been in development for some time now, following the closure of Lionhead Studios – the creators of the Fable franchise. After a successful Kickstarter and gaining external funding, the game continues the RPG's legacy through the collectible card game genre.

Fable Fortune combines pioneering CCG systems with some of the Fable's most cherished moments; featuring timeless heroes, despicable villains, armies of bemused (and conveniently expendable) peasants, and some good old fashioned, family-friendly necromancy.

We've been informed that when the game hits Xbox Game Preview next month, both in-progress Xbox One and Windows 10 versions will be offered from the outset. These copies will also support Xbox Play Anywhere – a program which offers cross-platform purchases, game saves and multiplayer between Microsoft's flagship console and its desktop operating system.

Although the game will be free-to-play when it officially launches later this year, the Game Preview and Early Access versions will only be available as a part of the "Founder's Pack." This $14.99 package bundles together $40 worth of card packs alongside the base game, and exclusive "Chicken Vengeant" and "Giant Egg" cards. When the Founder's Pack releases next month, the title will also be receiving a 20% discount for the first week of availability.
