The Signature Comfort Plus M850 L mouse features a palm cushion that lets you rest your hand and arm while gripping your mouse. It's a novel idea, though I think you'll still want to pair it with a comfortable mouse pad.

Should I upgrade to the new Logitech mouse and keyboard?

Don't mistake my relaxed attitude toward Logitech's new accessories as disinterest. It's just that Logitech has made rock-solid gear for so long that it feels unnecessary to run through the basics.

A Logitech K860 and Logitech MX Vertical have sat on my desk for years. I've used them to write hundreds of articles for Windows Central. They're part of my ultimate ergonomic setup, and I recommend them frequently to colleagues and anyone willing to listen.

Both the mouse and keyboard have held up well over the years, making it difficult to even consider replacing either of them. The keyboard is still responsive and comfortable to use, and I've grown accustomed to its split-key design. The vertical mouse has also cemented its way into my workflow.

When Logitech's email about its new keyboard and mouse reached my desk, I became intrigued. The Signature Comfort Plus M850 L mouse and Signature Comfort Plus MK880 keyboard are built with ergonomics in mind, but they take different approaches to the Logitech accessories I already own.

The Logitech K860 is a split-key design that forces you to type correctly, or at least without reaching across the midline to press keys. That split lets your hands and wrists rest at a natural angle.

The Signature Comfort Plus MK880 has straight keys that align in rows, but the body has a curve along the Z-axis. That means your hands can rest along its cushioned palm rest without having to relearn how to type.

The Signature Comfort Plus M850 looks comfortable to hold and has a built-in palm cushion. I can't use a flat mouse all day because my wrists get sore, but Logitech's new mouse has a sculpted design to go along with its cushion. It's not a vertical mouse, but it seems like a better option than most traditional mice.

I need to get my hands on the new Logitech accessories and plan to do so soon. I'll check back in after going hands-on with the accessories.

The Logitech MX Master 4 is an excellent mouse for productivity and casual gaming. It is now also one of the first mice to support haptics on Windows 11.

Hailed as "the new king" of mice by our friends at Tom's Guide, the Logitech MX Master 4 just got better thanks to a pair software updates. The mouse now supports native integration with Advanced Haptics on Windows 11, a new feature that lets you feel actions on the operating system.

The Logitech MX Master 4 already supported haptics, but only in a limited way. Pressing the thumb button on the mouse would summon an "Actions Ring" with eight shortcuts to choose from. Moving your cursor over one of the shortcuts produced what our colleagues at TechRadar describe as a "haptic bump."

Now, the mouse's haptic engine also responds to certain movements and gestures on Windows 11.

"Users will be able to feel haptic feedback effects on compatible input devices while performing certain actions, such as aligning objects in PowerPoint, window snapping, resizing, or hovering over the Close button," explained Microsoft when discussing Windows 11 Insider Build 26300.8155.

Logi Bolt received a firmware update to version 5.5.30 that added support for Advanced Haptics on Windows 11. Shout out to X user Stephen Barrett for flagging the change to us.

If you have a build of Windows 11 that supports the integration and the latest firmware installed, you'll be able to feel your PC through your mouse.

Haptics are an evolving type of tech that's being integrated into accessories and software in different ways. The Logitech Pro X2 Superstrike lowers latency and adds click customization through haptics. Haptics are also increasingly common in laptop touchpads because they are more reliable than mechanical touchpads.

Logitech's implementation of haptics in the MX Master 4 is clever and unique, and it should make navigating Windows 11 feel more natural and immersive.

Logitech just announced a new customizable keyboard that lets gamers swap between analog and mechanical keys. 39 keybeds support both types of switches, thanks to TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) sensors.

Logitech's approach provides gamers with flexibility for their setup. This is the first Logitech G Keyboard with TMR, Dual Swap capability, a Global Light Bar, and customizable Dual Dials. It also features SAPP (Second Actuation Pressure Point), which lets you set two inputs per key differentiated by actuation level.

It's designed to combine the best of analog and mechanical without making you choose. For example, analog keys support variable input, so you could press a key a little to walk and press that same key further to run. But that granular nature may not fit your play style for the rest of your keys.

With the Logitech G512 X, you could have your WASD keys be analog and your other keys be mechanical.

The keyboard includes some nice small touches, like support for key priority that will prioritize your preferred key if you press two keys at once. It also has dual programmable dials for added controls.

The Logitech G512 X has an 8kHz report rate through a wired connection and rapid trigger support.

Logitech frames the G512 X in a similar light to the Logitech PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE. That gaming mouse pushes the category by featuring haptics rather than a physical click system.

That mouse is such a game-changer that our Senior Editor Zac Bowden questioned if competitive esports will ban it. The mouse also earned a perfect score in our review. If the Logitech G512 X succeeds in pushing the limits of gaming, Logitech will have an impressive arsenal of accessories.

The Logitech G512 X keyboard is available for preorder starting today, and will be in stores on May 2. There are two versions of the gaming accessory: a 75-key layout and a 98-key layout. The Logitech G512 X 75 will cost $179.99, while the Logitech G512 X 98 will cost $199.99.

You'll have to pay extra if you'd like a palm rest, however. The palm rest for the G512 X 75 ($39) and G512 X 98 ($45) have the same preorder and release dates as their respective keyboards.

Getting the most out of your gaming accessories just got easier if you have a PC running a Snapdragon X chip. Logitech G HUB now works on Windows on Snapdragon, opening the door to customizing mice, keyboards, headsets, and webcams.

Logitech G HUB is a hub for Logitech's "G" ecosystem. It lets you control and customize devices, such as setting the DPI of a mouse, setting up macros for a keyboard, remapping buttons, or controlling RGB lighting. You can also use Logitech G HUB to manage games from multiple libraries.

The app did not work on Windows on Snapdragon until recently. The change was highlighted in the r/snapdragon subreddit by Qualcomm's Senior Product Marketing Manager for Snapdragon X Series.

They explained "Gaming just got smoother on Snapdragon" in a comment in that thread.

The following devices are validated to work with Logitech G HUB and Windows on Snapdragon:

While not marketed with a gaming focus, Qualcomm's new Snapdragon X2 chips are better at running games than the previous generation.

Snapdragon X PCs also got a gaming boost in the form of Easy Anti-Cheat. Many games that do not work on Snapdragon X PCs are restricted due to anti-cheat measures. Support for Easy Anti-Cheat allows Fortnite and other popular titles to run on those systems.

I wouldn't claim that Snapdragon X PCs are now gaming PCs, but they are capable of running some games. ShortCircuit has an interesting video showcasing popular titles on the ASUS Zenbook A16, which runs on a Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme.

Of course, you don't need to be playing a demanding game to enjoy synced RGB lighting or the ability to control your Logitech G accessories.

Logitech's new PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE gaming mouse is a game-changer for those who play games competitively. It's the world's first mouse to include haptic motors in place of a physical mechanism for the left and right click buttons, and that opens the door to a whole new world of response times thanks to its ultra-low click latency technology.

I was recently invited to go hands-on and check out how the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE was made, and I came away thoroughly impressed with just how dedicated Logitech is when it comes to eSports and this mouse. Logitech truly believes in this mouse, to the point where it's not sure if eSports tournaments will ban it due to the sheer advantage it provides over gamers who aren't using it.

What sort of advantages, I hear you ask? Well, depending on the player, it can make you almost twice as fast at shooting at an enemy. That's because you no longer need to press all the way down to complete a "click," as the haptic motor is able to determine when a click is successful much earlier in the process, so you don't need to bottom out every time.

G Pro X2 Superstrike: Specs and availability

The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike is available online directly from Logitech or retailers like Amazon for $179. That makes it one of the more expensive mice you can buy today, but given the tech that it's packing, this isn't much of a surprise.

It's available in just one colorway, that being "Lunar Eclipse", which consists of a dual black/white tone, with the majority of the body being white, but the right and left click buttons and underside being black. The entire mouse is made of plastic, which is designed to make it as light as possible.

What's the G Pro X2 Superstrike like?

I'm not a professional gamer, but even casual gamers will notice an improvement in response times if you master the mouse. At first, it's difficult to remember that you don't have to bottom out the click mechanism, as there isn't a physical click at the bottom. As soon as you feel the haptic response, you can lift and click down again. This is where the latency gains come from, but it takes a while for your brain to remember that.

That haptic motor simulates the feeling of a click very well. Just like the haptic motor on a Surface Laptop trackpad, the haptic motor in the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE is designed in such a way to make it feel like you're clicking on a normal mouse. You can adjust the sensitivity of the haptic motor, including how little or how hard you need to press for that click to be initiated.

I have to say that the haptic motor feels sublime. It's quiet to operate, and every click feels super satisfying, and you can adjust just how satisfying it feels using the Logitech G Hub app. This app lets you adjust the strength of the haptic motor, so if you prefer a lighter sensation, you can select that, but I found the stronger response to feel more satisfying.

As I'm not a pro gamer, the haptic feedback in this mouse makes me yearn for a version of this mouse that's designed for productivity. I'm a huge fan of Logitech's MX Master (and MX Vertical) mice, and I can't help but feel like this haptic motor would be right at home on those devices.

Logitech tells me that this technology, which it calls HITS, could very well end up in other mice in its portfolio down the line. For now, however, it considers the technology best suited for gaming, as the latency gains it enables really are impressive. The tech is so good that even non-professional gamers will notice improved reaction times just from the ability to adjust where the click happens.

You can make the click as shallow as possible, meaning your finger has to travel less distance to initiate a click. That gives you an edge over someone using a traditional mouse with a more deep and physical clicking mechanism, and in some cases can halve your reaction time if you're on the ball enough.

How the G Pro X2 Superstrike was made

Logitech also showed me how the mouse was made at its labs in Switzerland, and it opened my eyes to just how dedicated the team was to making this mouse the best it possibly can be for gamers. It showed me three prototypes, all of which looked pretty much identical from the outside. The difference? Each prototype was lighter than the last.

The original prototype was around 98g, but through constant iteration and engineering, they were able to reduce the weight of the mouse to just 89g without removing any features or making the mouse feel cheaper. This was done by swapping out certain materials on the inside and making some pieces of plastic thinner.

It was a lot of extra work for a small gain in lightness. Holding both prototypes in my hands, I couldn't really even tell the difference in weight, but Logitech understood that having a light mouse was imperative for gamers who need to be able to move the mouse around as quickly as possible.

I was also shown their design labs, which were fascinating to see how Logitech experiments and comes up with designs for its products. I was shown an awesome molded version of the Logitech MX Master 3, which was made out of this cool transparent material. Logitech says it's always exploring new materials that it could use in future products.

I did ask if the HITS technology was destined for any other Logitech mice down the line, and while nobody at the company was willing to confirm that this was planned, it certainly sounds like the company is at the very least exploring the idea of bringing HITS to more mice in the future. So that's reassuring!

Conclusion

The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike is indeed a one-of-a-kind mouse. It's the first to adopt this new HITS technology, which really does enhance the gameplay experience if you're able to master it. The tech is so groundbreaking that Logitech itself was unsure if it would be banned in eSports tournaments, which says a lot about how game changing it really is.

As a productivity mouse, it's not the best out there. I absolutely adore the haptic motor, and I do wish Logitech would bring it to other high-end mice in its lineup in the future. An MX Master or MX Vertical with this tech would be awesome, as being able to adjust where the click takes place, along with the intensity of the click, is a nice bonus to have.

If you're a gamer who's looking to make it professionally, or just want the best edge you can get when playing online competitively, this is probably the only mouse on the market that makes it easy to have fast response times without "cheating."

Too pretty for the price, but not always practical

The Logitech Pebble Keys 2 doesn't quite look like most keyboards with which you'll be familiar, and the reason is in the name: pebble keys. Rather than traditional square or squircle keys, this keyboard goes all-in on circles.

The Pebble Keys 2 is all curves, a slim and light low-profile board swimming in charisma. It caps out at 16mm and weighs a good chunk less than half a kilogram (even with batteries installed). This is a compact design that can easily slip into any bag and won't look out of place on any surface.

Those circular keys add a lot of character in each of the three colorways, too, but not everyone will love them and the odd spacing they cause. If you're used to more traditional keyboard designs, it may take some time to adjust to typing on the Pebble Keys 2.

This low-profile design also doesn't include adjustable stands, so you'll have to content yourself with the single, static angle for typing.

When it comes to build quality, the Pebble Keys 2 is rock solid for the price, but it won't fool you into believing it actually costs $100 instead of $40. It's constructed entirely of plastic, and there is some flexing and creaking if you go looking for it. When actually using the keyboard, though, the Pebble Keys 2 never felt cheap under my fingers.

All the features you expect and more for only $40

Assuming you can acclimate to the circular keys, the Logitech Pebble Keys 2 performs wonderfully as a keyboard. The low-profile switches are responsive and consistent, with a near-silent action for those who want to work quietly.

All the qualities of a great keyboard are here, and the Pebble Keys 2 can boast other features and refinements not guaranteed at this price point, such as smartly chosen function key shortcuts (my personal favorite is a dedicated shortcut to open the Emoji panel).

This keyboard also supports Logitech's intuitive, reliable Logi Options+ software on macOS and Windows; you don't get a ton of software features here, but you can reprogram the function row shortcuts and create custom profiles for different applications.

You also get wireless Bluetooth support across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS platforms, with three profiles you can quickly switch between. I was really impressed by the wireless performance, too, with quick pairing and connecting, no errant disconnects or lag, and a happy lack of annoying double-typing often seen with cheaper Bluetooth keyboards.

Even more impressive is the battery life. Yes, the Pebble Keys 2 does rely on AAA batteries, but I've been using this keyboard for weeks, and the battery level hasn't even noticeably dipped. You could potentially get years of use out of this keyboard before ever worrying about replacing the batteries.

Part of how Logitech pulled such astounding endurance off, though, is by not offering keyboard backlighting, so the Pebble Keys 2 can be slightly inconvenient to use in darker environments.

That's where the Logitech G321 LIGHTSPEED comes in, and I'm honestly amazed just how good this headset is for the price. The design, comfort, performance, and connectivity are all better than you'd expect, and compromises Logitech made to hit this price are easy to see.

I wish the onboard controls were better or that I could at least customize my experience with Logitech's software, but those are minor complaints. The G321 LIGHTSPEED is the queen of value-driven gaming headsets, and it'll be tough for other companies to properly beat it.

Comfort and style in one affordable package

Entry-level gaming headsets are normally obvious at a glance, with chunky designs and visibly cheap plastic, but the G321 LIGHTSPEED manages to avoid that curse.

This is very much a Logitech headset, with plenty of soft curves, fabric-covered Memory Foam ear cushions, and a splash of color to add character. I honestly really like this design, and the G321 is quite comfortable to wear for long periods of time — even with the simple headband "cushion," which is just a fabric wrapping.

It helps that the G321 only weighs 210g, which is a lot lighter than most other wireless gaming headsets. Everything about this headset is simple and straightforward, with the flip-to-mute microphone, the simple power switch, the single-press button to switch between Bluetooth and 2.4GHz modes, and the volume rocker.

I really wish the connection mode button also doubled as media controls, but those are sadly lacking. It's all about the basics with this headset, and Logitech made sure to nail those fundamentals.

The G321 is equipped with standard 40mm drivers tuned with gaming in mind, but I also had no issues using this headset for video conferences, music, and videos. Audio quality is more than good enough for $60, although the G321 is certainly on the quiet side for headsets I've tested, and can get muddy through the mids.

The microphone shares the same vibes — it's honestly better than I expected for a $60 headset, and the flip-to-mute design is appreciated, but it isn't going to blow your mind. My voice was always picked up without issue and sounded clear, and background noise was kept to a minimum, but recordings sound flat in general.

One area where the G321 truly surprised me, though, is wireless connectivity. It's nice enough that this headset boasts both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth options, letting it support a wide range of devices, but I was impressed by both how quickly the headset connected when turning on or switching modes, and by how strong the connection was in use. I've tested far more expensive headsets that skipped or struggled with interference more than this one.

The cost of cutting costs

I'm clearly happy to heap some praise on the Logitech G321 LIGHTSPEED, but Logitech could hardly defy logic with a $60 wireless gaming headset. Corners were cut, and how influential those cuts are will depend on what you need from a gaming headset.

More than anything, the G321 just has less of everything. I already mentioned the lack of onboard media controls, but you also don't get onboard memory or swappable audio profiles, software support to customize equalizers or enable other features (including microphone monitoring), multi-source audio mixing, Xbox support, or wired connectivity.

The battery also isn't the most impressive, with Logitech claiming up to 20 hours of usage. That's on the low-end for any wireless headset or pair of headphones, and I did end up needing to charge the G321 during my test period. Fortunately, charging via USB Type-C is both easy and quick.

Of course, the G321 does feel like a low-end headset, too. It's well-built for what it is and I'm not afraid of it falling apart on me (honestly, I believe this headset could take a fair amount of abuse before throwing in the towel), but the G321 won't be able to fool anyone into thinking it's a $100+ headset.

• You want a good-looking gaming headset without breaking the bank.
• You only care about the basics — comfort, audio quality, and performance.

The Logitech G321 LIGHTSPEED is unlike any other comparable headset in its price range because it's confident. The fit and finish, the reliable performance and dependable audio quality, even the crisp audio cues for powering on/off or switching connectivity modes — the G321 is a simply good headset.

The fact the Logitech G321 LIGHTSPEED costs only $59.99 at BestBuy.com is its "killer feature," and it makes this my new top pick for the best value wireless PC gaming headset. I only wish I could add it to our list of the best Xbox headsets, too, but I can't.

I recently reviewed the Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED headset, and I really liked it. The G321 feels like a perfectly diluted version of that headset, and it costs $100 less. The G321 made me forget at times just how affordable it is, and Logitech should be proud of that accomplishment.

The RAPID TKL is more expensive thanks to its magnetic analog switches and a healthy list of new features, but it loses any ability to connect to your devices wirelessly in exchange. It's an interesting peripheral with a standout design.

A familiar design with some new tricks

I don't blame Logitech for re-using the G515 design once again. This tenkeyless layout is comfortable and clean, and the two-tone, low-profile chassis looks great in any setup.

Put the G515 RAPID TKL next to the G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL, and the uninitiated would struggle to accurately tell the difference. This is the more expensive keyboard in the lineup, though, and it does feel slightly more premium than the LIGHTSPEED variant I previously reviewed.

Everything just feels a little more tightly put together, and I enjoy the subtle details like the WASD keys being a different hue. Considering the RAPID TKL costs $10 more than the wireless LIGHTSPEED version, though, there's obviously more going on underneath the hood.

So, what are you trading wireless connectivity and an extra $10 for? Logitech's low-profile, magnetic analog switches, which use a similar technology as Hall Effect thumbsticks in controllers. Unlike mechanical switches with a set actuation point, these magnetic analog switches can detect input across their entire range of motion.

They're supposedly more precise and durable, but magnetic analog switches also allow for adjustable actuation, and the G515 RAPID TKL can handle 0.1mm intervals. You also get rapid trigger (key presses are registered the moment you begin pressing) and keystroke priorities.

Most people won't need these features, but competitive gamers that demand the absolute best performance from their keyboard can find a ton of value in magnetic analog switches and the features they bring to the table.

Logitech G Hub also gives you more software customization features, like various RGB lighting effects, the ability to assign up to two unique shortcuts per key, customizable onboard profiles, and more. It's a good experience, especially for gaming.

Great for gaming, not my favorite for typing

It's clear what Logitech's goal with the G515 RAPID TKL was: make a high-performance, low-profile gaming keyboard. That's it. To that end, Logitech very much succeeded. A tried-and-true design with new magnetic analog switches tackles that goal with much aplomb.

When gaming, the G515 is unerringly consistent and responsive, and it offers a degree of adjustability that hardcore gamers relish. This keyboard also demands that you want a low-profile keyboard specifically, though, and this form factor can't take full advantage of its magnetic switches.

Shallow travel and a low actuation force (the point is adjustable) diminish the G515 RAPID TKL's merits as a keyboard for typing, at least as far as I'm concerned. This keyboard just feels soft across the board, and that's worth noting when most gamers are also using their PCs for work, school, creativity, and a whole lot of other things that aren't strictly gaming.

Logitech's pricing for the G515 RAPID TKL also puts it within striking distance of something undeniably more premium, like the Razer BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile HyperSpeed I reviewed. That keyboard can't boast the adjustable actuation features of the G515 RAPID TKL, but as an overall package it delivers more (and it's wireless, which helps justify its added cost).

I really enjoyed my time with the Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED, but it didn't exactly blow me away. I feel the same about the G515 RAPID TKL, which pretty directly trades the versatility of wireless connectivity for the performance of magnetic switches (and a few extra bucks).

If you understand the value of magnetic switches and the features they enable, like adjustable actuation, and you're looking for a sleek low-profile keyboard that won't hoard your precious desk real estate, then the G515 RAPID TKL is an excellent option. It's not what I'd consider affordable, but this is a quality product.

If you'd rather have full-sized keys, though, I'd sooner suggest something like the Keychron K8 HE I reviewed, which is a better overall value in my opinion. That being said, I really like the Logitech G515 RAPID TKL gaming keyboard, and it does earn my recommendation as an attractive and performant low-profile option for the competitive PC gamer.

Over the years, we at Windows Central have covered many Logitech headsets, some of which we can consider to be the finest on the market, whether they're the best PC gaming headsets or the best Xbox gaming headsets.

Just under $30 at whichever retailer you like the best, and yes, it includes one AA battery in the box.

The most common talking point I've seen for the G305 Lightspeed is probably its weight, with some saying it's on the heavy side while others more politely call it "balanced". To be honest, when I switch from my beloved Logitech MX Master 2S after finishing work and pick up the G305, I almost throw it to the ceiling because it feels so much lighter in comparison.

On the other hand, I recently bought my partner the $126 Logitech G502 X Lightspeed as a birthday present, which is a noticeably lightweight mouse, so I can understand how some comparisons would land the G305 on the weightier side of the scale. Still, I would never consider it to be a "heavy" gaming mouse.

As for the battery life, I've honestly lost track of how often I've changed the AA battery inside the G305 Lightspeed. I hadn't realised how many years it's been since I bought this thing, but I certainly can't think of any occasions where it died at an inconvenient time.

In the rare moments that the batteries do start to show signs of giving up, a red light appears on the top-mounted LED to give you plenty of warning. It lasts for weeks and weeks, even on the higher settings (though I keep mine in more of a middling DPI — I'm no pro gamer who needs to move my entire arm across the desk).

TL;DR: This is a great gaming mouse that's served me well for half a decade, and I've never permanently switched away from it. No matter how many ultra-high-spec demo units have come across my desk, I've always come back to the Logitech G305 Lightspeed — it's just a reliable workhorse that I'll recommend forever.

Or, at least until Logitech discontinues it and I fall into a mouse-based depression. On a serious note, check out the specs below, and you'll notice that it doesn't feature any USB port for wired use.

This is a wireless-only gaming mouse that cannot be recharged with any internal battery over USB-C or otherwise. Of course, you could use a rechargeable AA battery and achieve a similar effect, but it's worth noting. At $30, I wouldn't even call this a downside or have it affect its recommendation, but it can often be overlooked by those who are used to plugging in a cable as a backup for their dead gaming mouse.

Logitech G522 review: Pricing and specifications

The Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED is a mid-range wireless gaming headset, sitting below Logitech's most premium offerings with a retail price of $159.99 at Logitech.

That's actually $20 less than the pricing Logitech initially gave me ahead of the headset's announcement, and I do think $160 feels like an appropriate price for the G522.

You can also get the Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED for $159.99 at Best Buy. Wherever you go, the headset is available in both white and black colorways.

In the box, you'll find the Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming headset, the LIGHTSPEED 2.4GHz USB Type-A dongle, the detachable microphone, and a USB Type-C to USB Type-A charging cable.

Logitech G522 review: What I like

The Logitech G522 may not benefit from the luxurious materials and designs of more expensive headsets, but Logitech still concocted an eye-catching design that — in my opinion, at least — makes this headset stand out in the price range.

It's predominantly plastic, sure, available in black and white flavors, but with colorful accents (green for white, purple for black), vibrant RGB lighting in each earcup, and aesthetically consistent lines and details. More importantly, it's also very lightweight at just 290g, and is overall one of the more comfortable gaming headsets I've tested in the category.

The earcups are spacious, the memory foam cushions are soft and wrapped in breathable fabric (they're also replaceable), and the suspension headband spreads the minimal weight evenly.

Beauty and comfort are here, but the G522 is also practical. All of its controls and ports are neatly lined on the left earcup, including the detachable microphone, USB Type-C port for charging and audio, mic mute switch, volume wheel, Bluetooth pairing button, and power switch (not a power button, interestingly).

As you may have gleaned, the G522 does support Bluetooth connectivity with most devices, as well as wired audio, but you'll mostly be relying on the LIGHTSPEED wireless. The USB Type-A dongle is compact, and wireless performance is really good... Except for the range, which feels lower than some competing 2.4GHz standards.

Under the hood, the G522 is powering dual 40mm, biocellulose drivers, which Logitech claims it has redesigned with isolated acoustic modules to improve earcup synchronicity, multi-layer audio detail, and bass response. Audio resolution is also competitive, letting you enjoy higher fidelity music than a lot of budget and mid-range headsets.

I don't know about all of that, but the G522 does sound great. Audio is clear and responsive, with crisp low-end and meaty mids. I've noticed some distortion at higher frequencies, but it's hard to complain about this audio performance at $160.

Recording is handled by a slim, detachable, omnidirectional microphone with a competitively wide frequency response and high resolution, as well as a built-in LED indicator for muting.

It's a really good microphone for the price range, but it's really Logitech's software that brings the added value here.

The Logitech G522 can be configured with the Logitech G HUB PC app and Logitech G mobile app, and syncs your settings as you switch between.

The G HUB app is where you'll find most of your settings, with plenty of in-depth customization for the LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting, full frequency-based equalizers for the drivers and microphone, a sample for building your own soundboard, community-created and custom presets, and more.

The microphone options are especially impressive, pulling on Logitech's legendary experience with its Blue brand to let you tailor settings like input gain, high-pass filter, gate, noise reduction, compressor, and de-esser/de-popper.

It's clean software with a good number of options, and the G522 also supports DTS:X spatial audio if you want surround sound (which I don't recommend for music, but can be great for games and movies).

However you configure or use the Logitech G522, you won't have to worry about battery life. During my testing, Logitech's estimations of 40-90 hours (depending on your lighting) may actually be modest; I haven't had to charge the G522 yet.

Logitech G522 review: What I don't like

The G522 nails the three core pillars of a good headset: comfort, audio quality, and wireless performance/battery life, but there's definitely room for improvement.

I'll start with the design side of things. The G522 looks great and it's certainly comfy, but the suspension headband only provides two levels of adjustment; you're out of luck if you can't get the perfect fit with that.

I'm also a little concerned about how this plastic headset will hold up to years of abuse, particularly where the headband attaches to the earcups. Movement is necessary to adjust to your head, but I don't have a ton of confidence in how durable this connection is.

Then there's the multi-platform support. 2.4GHz and Bluetooth ostensibly cover all the bases, but the Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED sadly lacks Xbox Wireless support (I know why, but I'm still disappointed), 2.4GHz works with PlayStation but is obviously designed with PC in mind, and Bluetooth almost feels like an afterthought despite the mobile app integration.

That's mostly due to the lack of any media controls beyond volume. You can't play/pause or skip/rewind tracks from the headset controls, even though other headsets accomplish this with a multi-purpose Bluetooth button.

With both G and Astro brands under its belt, Logitech has a lot of experience building high-quality gaming accessories — especially headsets. I'm not shocked that the G522 LIGHTSPEED is great.

This headset puts its best foot forward with its refined aesthetics, but it also sounds great, lasts for hours, and gives you plenty of options to customize the microphone and sound profile.

I wish the G522 supported Xbox consoles and that it included media controls to rank among the best Xbox headsets, but there are plenty who'll just be happy to add a new Logitech headset to their desk. Personally, though, the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 (Gen 3) is still the sub-$200 champion, so consider if it's worth spending that extra $40.

The Logitech ERGO K860 is one of the best devices I've ever owned. It's certainly the best keyboard I've ever used.

The split-key design of the keyboard allows me to write all day without straining my arms or hands. I feel cramped on any other keyboard and often find myself taking the ERGO K860 around the house with me even though my work laptop has a giant keyboard of its own.

Why I love the Logitech ERGO K860 ergonomic keyboard

With how short the lifespan of most tech is these days, it's honestly a bit surprising that I haven't found an upgrade to the Logitech ERGO K860. There are other ergonomic keyboards, of course, but my keyboard has lasted well over the years and given me no reason to look elsewhere.

Despite being used to type over one million words since purchase, my Logitech ERGO K860 is in near-mint condition. The only real sign of wear is that a few of the keys are shinier than when I unboxed the keyboard.

Despite first shipping in January 2020, the Logitech ERGO K860 still tops several lists of the best ergonomic keyboards.

Logitech hit a home run with the ERGO K860 and hasn't changed things since. The keyboard is comfortable, feels good under my fingers, and has a full number pad and row of function keys.

When one of the cons of an accessory is that it's a full-sized keyboard, it's clear the list of negatives is short. To be clear, it's a good thing TechRadar pointed out the size of the keyboard in their Logitech K860 review, but that size is only a con for some people.

If you use your keyboard at a desk or large table, the expansive layout of the Logitech ERGO K860 is a positive.

The only knock I'd share on the Logitech ERGO K860 is that it lacks backlit keys. I turn off key backlighting on all my devices, but I know it's important to many people, so it's worth flagging up the omission.

I recommend the Logitech ERGO K860 to other journalists and people who type a lot. It's a no-brainer to suggest the keyboard at a discount.

An already attractive deal on the Logitech G Cloud just got better thanks to an update from Best Buy. The handheld console used to come with a carrying case but sat at its usual price of $299.99. But it seems people, including myself, prefer getting a console for as affordable as possible rather than picking up a free case. Best Buy has met that demand with a discount that brings the Logitech G Cloud down to $259.99. While you no longer get a free carrying case, you still get a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and a 60-day trial of Crunchyroll (Mega Fan tier) at no additional cost. There's a chance the deal changed due to the stock of the carrying case but honestly the new deal is better than the old one, so I don't care what the reason was for the change.

How to take advantage of Logitech and Best Buy's 20% promo

Logitech and Best Buy have teamed up to help you save on some great accessories, and we're still more than a week away from Black Friday and Cyber Monday proper. It looks like most of Logitech's office-focused accessories are eligible for the 20% discount when you buy a laptop, monitor, or desk at Best Buy, with its excellent gaming accessories standing apart with individual deals.

The eligible accessories are actually a lot easier to navigate than I first imagined. Best Buy has a dedicated landing page for all of the Logitech accessories it sells, and from there you can sniff out the hardware in which you're interested. I highlighted the MX Master 3S, K860 ergonomic keyboard, and the C920s Pro webcam due to their popularity and high review scores, but there are many more affordable accessories eligible for the 20% discount.

Using the MX Master 3S as an example, I can see that there's a small line below the price on Best Buy's site that reads: Hot offer 20% off Logitech accessories w/ hardware. If you don't see this line, the accessory is not part of the promotion.

Clicking the link pulls up a window that allows you to browse eligible laptops, monitors, and desks. I counted 39 eligible devices, ranging from Windows and Apple laptops to gaming and productivity monitors. Some are also enjoying a separate discount, further saving you money. Best Buy clarifies that if you add more than one eligible Logitech accessory to your cart, it will discount the cheapest.

You can stack discounts together right now on select Logitech accessories. If you browse Best Buy's website for Logitech hardware, you'll see a "Hot offer" promotion on certain listings. The exact discount you'll get depends on the device you buy, but your purchase becomes eligible for a further discount when you also pick up hardware like a monitor or laptop. Many of the early access Black Friday deals are part of this offer, so you shouldn't feel limited when shopping.

As an example, the Logitech K860 Ergonomic keyboard is already $16 off regardless of what else is in your cart. But if you pick up an eligible piece of hardware, you can slash an additional 30% off the keyboard. That brings the price down to $78.39. The Logitech MX Vertical mouse (already $23 off) is available for 30% off if you pick up an eligible piece of hardware, dropping its price to $53.89.

The Logitech K860 keyboard and MX Vertical mouse rarely go on sale, and I've never seen them double discounted like this before. I recommend both accessories at full price since I use them every single day. Both the Logitech K860 keyboard and MX Vertical mouse have held up over the years through thousands of articles and countless hours of photo and video editing.

Best ergonomic keyboard and mouse

I picked up a Logitech K860 ergonomic keyboard as a Christmas gift to myself in 2022. I knew in five minutes that it was the best tech purchase I made that year. The keyboard is comfortable, lets my wrists rest and a natural angle, and reduces pain and strain on my arms. I sit at a desk several hours every day, so an ergonomic desk setup is key. The Logitech K860 has nice little touches, such as inward-curved keycaps that surround your fingers, a well-shaped wrist rest, and a full number pad. The only real downside is that the keyboard lacks backlit keys. That's not a big deal for me since I write during the day and in a well-lit office, but I know it's a deal breaker for some.

Following the solid first impression of the Logitech K860, I picked up a Logitech MX Vertical mouse back in 2022 as well. The mouse is another key part of my ergonomic desk setup. Like its keyboard sibling, the Logitech MX Vertical allows my wrist to rest at a natural angle.

I type and use my mouse a lot. I'd guess that I've spent thousands of hours at my desk with these accessories, and they've held up great during that time. I now feel cramped and uncomfortable when I have to use a straight keyboard or horizontal mouse. It's not fair to my wrists to put that much strain on them, so I rely on the Logitech K860 keyboard and MX Vertical mouse daily.

My favorite keyboard of all time is on sale for an even better price than what we saw during Prime Day. Best Buy just discounted the Logitech K860 to $111.99, offering a savings of $18. Even though some of the best Amazon's October Prime Day and Walmart's October deals have ended, the discount on the Logitech K860 has gotten better. Honestly, I'd recommend the Logitech K860 at full price, so grabbing it at a discount is a no-brainer.

It's easy to write about the Logitech K860 because I write articles with it every day I'm at my desk. Since picking up the keyboard in late 2022, I've written thousands of articles using it. The split-key design reduces wrist strain and fatigue, allowing me to get more work done. The keyboard has held up well over the years, apart from some cosmetic smudging from where I rest my hands.

Why I recommend this keyboard to everyone

As a journalist, I have to type quite a few words each day. I don't have exact figures, but I'd guess I've typed a quarter of a million words in my time at Windows Central. Why you should consider the Logitech G Cloud

The Logitech G Cloud is one of the more affordable handheld gaming devices on the market, if only because it was designed from the ground up as a cloud-streaming device instead of a local gaming handheld like the Steam Deck or ASUS ROG Ally. This means it's not incredibly powerful on the inside, but it's much thinner and lighter as a result, and you can still play the latest games via game streaming services.

Our very own News Writer, Jennifer Young said "it’s perfect for people like me - and despite owning the Steam Deck, the Logitech G Cloud isn’t left on the shelf, and I’ve been using it more and more. I love this thing and I think it deserves its place in the hall of great gaming devices."

• Logitech announced a brand new accessory for creatives in the form of the Logitech MX Creative Console. This is a two-part accessory made up of a Tactile Dialpad and a Customizable Keypad. 
• The keypad features nine full-color display keys and can be laid down flat or propped up with the included stand while the DialPad features four customizable buttons and a large dial.
• It comes in Graphite and Pale Grey and is compatible with both Windows and Mac.
• This accessory comes with a free three-month Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps membership, so you can really appreciate its features.
• Preorders are available starting today, and the device is set to start shipping on Oct. 14, 2024.

Today, Logitech announced a new accessory for digital creators — a Tactile Dialpad and a Customizable Keypad that together make up the MX Creative Console for creative apps. It comes with free Logi Options+ software allowing it to work with both Windows and Mac. What's more, Logitech MX has collaborated with Adobe to create specific plugins for the latter's popular programs. In other words, this accessory works natively with Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Illustrator. 

Plugins also exist for Spotify Premium, Zoom, Ableton Live, Philips Hue, vMix (Win only), Capture One Pro (Mac only), and more.

The Customizable Keypad offers nine full-color LCD display keys that can reach up to 600 nits of brightness and can be lowered with adjustable brightness settings. These buttons can be customized to quickly open different programs or swap to different tools (brush, quick select, lasso, spot healing brush, etc). There are also two page buttons (back and forth) that allow the device to move between 15 different pages of actions per app, providing users with ample button controls. It connects to PCs with a detachable 1.5m USB-C 2.0 cable.

Meanwhile, the Tactile Dialpad features an "aluminum dial with tailored friction bearing" and an "advanced roller for fluid navigation." It's perfect for easily zooming in and out on projects or selecting different options from the Actions Ring setting wheel. In total, the Dialpad has four customizable buttons, one near each corner of the square base, which can be used for common actions like undo and redo. It can be connected to and swap between up to three devices at once simply by pressing a button. The Dialpad is powered via two AAA batteries and Logitech says battery life should last up to 18 months. The device connects to your PC via Bluetooth Low-Energy or Logi Bolt, but the dongle for the latter isn't included. It seems the Keypad can be laid flat or propped up with an included stand. 

Of the MX Creative Console, general manager of the MX Business Unit at Logitech, Anatoliy Polyanker, said it, "is designed to help people redefine their workflow, enabling them to work smarter and faster... we are tapping into the key trends of democratizing digital creation, 3D design and spatial computing, and AI-enabled workflows.”

Logitech MX Creative Console will start shipping on Oct. 14, 2024 in Pale Grey and Graphite. Preorders are available starting today, with the Creative Console selling for $199.99 at the Logitech website and various retailers. 

Customization is key for this keypad and dialpad combo

There are plenty of other dialpad and keypad accessories out there for creative apps, chief among them the XPPen Mini Keydial ACK05, which has a notably lower $49.99 MSRP at Amazon and the Huion Keydial Mini K20, which sells for $54.99 at Amazon (you can see more of the second keydial in my Huion Kamvas Pro 19 review and my Huion Kamvas Pro 24 (4K) review).

However, the full-color and fully customizable LCD display keys on the Logitech MX Creative Console's Dialpad provide far more options and controls than these less expensive creative editing accessories. In some ways, the Keypad behaves like an Elgato Stream Deck (see our Stream Deck review for more info). Since each program can have up to 15 pages of controls on the Creative Console and there are nine buttons on each page, you can have 135 customizable controls right at your fingertips. That's pretty convenient for people who regularly work in these apps.

I'm torn between liking the fact that the dialpad and keypad are separate devices and thinking they'd be better as one device. On one hand, this two-part design would allow me to use the dialpad with my left hand and the keypad with my right hand, which feels very natural to me. However, that means I would need to make sure there's enough room for both devices wherever I put them rather than just clearing one space. Traveling with these devices also means I'd need to carefully pack two devices rather than one.

A new, more ergonomic Pro X Superlight 2 mouse

The first product up will be the one that will undoubtedly excite the most people. The original Logitech PRO X SUPERLIGHT gaming mouse very quickly became one of the most popular wireless gaming mice of all time, and one of the first to actually be adapted by pro players over more stable wired alternatives. The SUPERLIGHT 2 simply made it better with superior performance, and now we have this... the Logitech PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX.

This mouse is actually very similar to the existing SUPERLIGHT 2, but features a significantly more ergonomic design custom tailored to right-handed gamers — and designed in conjunction with hundreds of real esports players. That means a lot of aggressive sweeps and curves and a wide stance that aims to make this one of the most comfortable gaming mice on the market. It certainly looks the part, too, and Logitech apparently upgraded the internal chassis to maintain the perfect 60g weight and improve the durability at the same time.

As far as performance is concerned, this is definitely a pro-grade peripheral. Logitech's HERO 2 sensor returns but is better than ever, headlined by the triple-8s: 88G max acceleration, 888 inches-per-second support, and an 8,000Hz wireless polling rate. You also get up to 44,000 dots-per-inch, and a fair amount of customizability through Logitech's software. Logitech's custom optical-mechanical combo LIGHTFORCE switches have also made a return, and is apparently tuned in the factory to ensure that both main mouse buttons feel utterly identical on every single SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX.

A more durable and customizable G915 keyboard

Next we have the long-awaited successor to the Logitech G915, which became one of the most popular low-profile gaming keyboards when it released in 2019. However, fans provided Logitech with a ton of feedback on overall durability, key wear and tear, software and hardware customizability, and more. Logitech took that all in stride when designing the new G915 X, and it could be the perfect upgrade for a lot of gamers.

The overall design language is very similar, meaning this is still an absolutely gorgeous keyboard, with the wireless versions boasting a brushed aluminum finish. However, Logitech has improved the rigidity and stability of both the individual switches and the keyboard deck, improving durability while also reducing key rattle and noise. The keycaps are now double-shot PBT to greatly increase wear and tear resistance over time, too.

Logitech also redesigned the switch connectors on these new 1.3mm mechanical switches (there are three varieties from which to choose), so it's now easier to swap out the keycaps for custom or third-party alternatives. Wireless performance and battery life should be even better, too, with Logitech promising up to 42 hours of usage even with the RGB lighting blasting at 100%. If you're worried about losing any features, don't be — both LIGHTSPEED variants (yes, there's a tenkeyless version) still sport Bluetooth connectivity, too.

You can get the new Logitech G915 X in full-sized wireless, tenkeyless wireless, and full-sized wired versions in both black and white, and all three also boast full software support for G Shift and KEYCONTROL. Basically, that means full customization for every key, with up to 15 layers of macros and shortcuts possible if you choose to go that far. The Logitech G915 X series is already available, too, with the full-sized wireless version retailing for $229.99 at Logitech.

A brand-new Astro A50 for all your devices

I reviewed the hyper-premium Logitech ASTRO A50 X, and its proposition was simple: it wants to be your only headset and hub connecting all your gaming platforms. The ASTRO A50 X accomplishes this with USB audio and HDMI passthrough, making it a very expensive, unique, and complicated wireless gaming headset. Now, there's a slightly simpler and more affordable alternative.

The Logitech ASTRO A50 (Gen 5) is honestly almost entirely identical to the more expensive X as a headset, apart from some additional red accents. Where it differs most is the all-important docking and charging station, which no longer features HDMI passthrough. The ASTRO A50 can still connect to up to three systems via USB audio simultaneously (with special support for Windows PC, Xbox, and PlayStation) and Logitech's PLAYSYNC tech, but it won't be able to switch your display inputs for you. To be frank, many people probably won't miss that.

You still get the same high-end audio experience with the 40mm drivers and 48KHz microphone. You still get the same support for spatial audio like Dolby Atmos. You still get the same ability to connect to your mobile devices with Bluetooth and use multi-source audio mixing alongside your gaming platform of choice. You still get the same software support for additional headset and audio customization. You still get the same comfortable design, complete with the same weight. All of that, and you save yourself $80.

The Logitech ASTRO A50 (Gen 5) is expected to arrive at some point in Oct. 2024, but you can preorder it now in black and white for $299.99 at Logitech, with the headset supporting basically any modern gaming platform you can think of.

A full lineup for all your gaming needs

Logitech is updating some of its most popular gaming accessories with new designs, new features, and new price tags, and it doesn't stop with the products that I highlighted above. Even the Logitech PRO LIGHTSPEED, a more affordable alternative to the PRO SUPERLIGHT, is getting a new variant. The PRO 2 LIGHTSPEED boasts the same ambidextrous, heavier 80g design, but features the new HERO 2 sensor for massively upgraded performance across the board.

Logitech is also debuting its first gaming keyboard with adjustable actuation, going up against the excellent Razer Huntsman V3 Pro I reviewed. The Logitech PRO X TKL is a compact, wired gaming keyboard with magnetic analog switches. Through Logitech's software, you can adjust the actuation point for each key, and take advantage of exclusive features like KEYCONTROL, Rapid Trigger, and Multi-Point Action.

There's also Key Priority, which is similar to the controversial Snap Tap Razer introduced for the Huntsman V3 Pro line in that it allows you to override a key tap by pressing another key, but aims to avoid the pitfalls of Razer's implementation by being more customizable and easier to manage.

Either way, both these products will be available in matching black, white, and pink colorways. The Logitech PRO 2 LIGHTSPEED is available starting today for just $129.99 at Logitech, while the Logitech PRO X TKL will arrive sometime in Dec. 2024 for $169.99 at Logitech.

Logitech CEO Hanneke Faber stirred up controversy lately by sharing the concept of a "forever mouse" that would require a subscription to receive software updates. When pressed about the subscription-based mouse, Faber compared the hypothetical mouse to a luxury watch, such as a Rolex. That clarification added fuel to the flames, as the CEO came off as out of touch with the Logitech customer base.

Since that interview with The Verge, Logitech has clarified its plans, or lack of a plan, for a forever mouse. “There are no plans for a subscription mouse,” said Logitech to The Verge and other outlets. The clarification went on to state that, "the mouse mentioned is not an actual or planned product but a peek into provocative internal thinking on future possibilities for more sustainable consumer electronics."

The idea certainly proved provocative when shared publicly. Many online have accused the Logitech CEO of "saying the quiet part out loud." The new statement also does not address the core issues presented by the concept of a subscription-based mouse.

Missing the point

I think it's safe to say that Logitech missed the point and failed to understand why people were upset about the concept of a subscription-based mouse. It's not a question of if Logitech made the mouse discussed. I don't think anyone assumed Logitech had actually made the mouse and had a warehouse full of them ready to ship. The problem is that Logitech considered the idea in the first place.

A mouse requiring a subscription for software updates is ludicrous at a base level. The best mice are some of the only accessories that last for years, if not decades. Designing a mouse to require software updates that cost money is at worst a perfect example of corporate greed and planned obsolescence. At best it's an executive grossly misunderstanding their company's customer base.

Logitech could have leaned into the idea of a forever mouse by highlighting the longevity of its products. It's relatively common to see high-end brands market products as lasting for life. I have a kitchen mixer that my wife and I often joke will be a family heirloom because of how robust it is.

I understand the temptation to find a new revenue stream, but Logitech missed the mark here by a wide margin. If Logitech cares about sustainability and e-waste, it could focus more on partnerships with iFixit to keep accessories in the hands of consumers. Replacing a scroll wheel or a wrist rest is a more sustainable way to keep Logitech accessories working forever, or at least for a very long time.

Your favorite accessory is a bit like a well-worn pair of gloves. Countless hours of use have smoothed away any rough edges and contoured the item to you specifically. On top of physical comfort, familiarity is a massive benefit of using the same tool for a long time. I type much faster on my main keyboard than when I have to use another one, for example. Well, Logitech plans to make a "forever mouse," which sounds great until you realize it's nothing like what you'd imagine.

Hanneke Faber, Logitech's CEO, recently spoke in an interview with The Verge. The interview covered a range of topics, but the one that's garnered the most attention is the concept of a "forever mouse" that requires a subscription.

Faber shared the idea of a slightly heavier and more durable mouse that would receive software updates. It's unclear what those updates would offer, which is different from what mice receive without a subscription. Generally speaking, mice do well when it comes to forward compatibility. Perhaps software updates could unlock features that hardware could always handle, but that was held back by software for a while.

When pushed about software updates, Faber compares a mouse to a luxury watch. "Imagine it’s like your Rolex. You’re going to really love that," said the CEO.

On the topic of a subscription model, I don't think paraphrasing can quite capture the exchange. Below is Nilay Patel, editor-in-chief of The Verge and host of the Decoder podcast, pressing Faber:

I’m going to ask this very directly. Can you envision a subscription mouse?

Possibly.

And that would be the forever mouse?

Yeah.

So you pay a subscription for software updates to your mouse.

Yeah, and you never have to worry about it again, which is not unlike our video conferencing services today.

But it’s a mouse.

But it’s a mouse, yeah.

I think consumers might perceive those to be very different. 

[Laughs] Yes, but it’s gorgeous. Think about it like a diamond-encrusted mouse.

As far as I'm aware, diamonds do not require software updates, so I'm not sure the metaphor tracks. Then again, I have never owned a diamond-encrusted Rolex or a mouse featuring ornate jewelry.

Logitech, please don't do this.

It's no secret that I use several Logitech products in my everyday life. My keyboard of choice is the Logitech K860, which I pair with a Logitech MX Vertical to create an ergonomic setup. All of my accessories run through a previously reviewed Logi Dock. These devices have held up well since I bought them and are rock-solid additions I often recommend to my friends and colleagues.

But Logitech making hardware I like does not exempt them from criticism. If anything, I'm more upset over Logitech considering a subscription plan for a mouse since the company clearly can make good devices without resorting to such tactics.

Just typing "mouse subscription" feels like I've made some sort of mistake. What does that even mean? I bet I could exit my friend's door, walk in any direction, and knock on the door of whichever house I ran into, and the person who lived there would have a mouse in a drawer somewhere that I could plug into my PC and use without any issues.

I know plenty of people who buy new mice even though their old mice still work. Users often upgrade because a new mouse has a more modern port for charging or connectivity or better internals. Sometimes, new mice have higher DPI, better response time, or work better on various surfaces. There are certainly reasons to buy a new mouse, but I don't think Logitech's potential plan relates to those. Even if there were software updates that improved the core experience of a mouse, my guess is people would just want the update to ship and push back against the concept of paying for mouse updates.

Rather than just ranting about the idea, I'll give a practical solution. Logitech, call up the people at Framework for some advice on how to make devices modular and keep working with iFixit to move toward a future where all mice parts are repairable or replaceable. That's the easiest way to make a "forever mouse," and it doesn't require a subscription.

I've used plenty of gaming keyboards during my time as a PC gamer, but ever since I first used it three years ago in 2021, there's been one I strongly prefer over everything else on the market: Logitech's G915 TKL, a tenkeyless low-profile board that's about as premium as a keyboard can be.

Typically, you've had to pay a hefty price for that premium, as the keyboard doesn't often dip far below its expensive $229.99 MSRP. Thanks to the consumerism-fueled magic of Amazon Prime Day 2024, though, the Logitech G915 TKL is just $149.99 at Amazon — even after the conclusion of the sales event. This deal could go offline at any minute, though, so be quick if you're interested in it.

Everything about the Logitech G915 TKL screams "quality" — as it should, for a keyboard that normally costs over $200 — and it only took me a few hours to absolutely fall in love with it when I started typing with it for the first time. I find its truncated, low-to-the-desk design more comfortable to use than traditional keyboards since I don't have to raise my wrists, and the shorter key travel means every switch actuation feels quicker and snappier, too. This has made it my go-to whether I'm writing up news, guides, or deals like this one for work or spending long hours playing the best PC games, ranging from shooters to MMOs and everything between.

✅Recommended if: You're looking for a premium low-profile gaming keyboard with a robust design, excellent wireless connectivity, tasteful RGB lighting, and some other nifty bells and whistles

❌Skip this deal if: You want a wired keyboard, something with a more traditional design, or a board that's more budget-friendly

The durability of the tenkeyless design (AKA, there's not a number pad) is far more robust than you'd think it'd be when looking at how thin the chassis is, as it's constructed out of rigid aircraft-grade aluminum. Unlike most boards built with plastic, there's zero flex or "bounce" here whatsoever, which feels great. Notably, the same can't be said about the new G515 TKL (read our review) Logitech made to offer a less expensive take on the G915, which is only $10 cheaper than the snazzier board right now thanks to this Prime Day markdown.

The "LIGHTSPEED" wireless performance of the G915 TKL has been flawless in my experience; in three years of use, I've never run into a single connection hiccup or failure with its Bluetooth or USB dongle-based modes, and in terms of battery life, you'll get a lengthy 40 hours out of a full charge. When the time to juice up does come, it can charge from empty to full in just about three hours or so.

Some other highlights include a full suite of media keys and a volume scroll wheel that comes in handy when watching movies or TV shows, LED indicators for battery life and caps lock, subtle, yet colorful RGB lightning you can customize in the Logitech G HUB software, and a handy compartment on the back of the board you can store the USB dongle in during travel. All in all, it's undoubtedly one of the best gaming keyboards on the market, and a steal at this reduced price. Just be quick about taking advantage of it, because now that Prime Day is over, it could go away at any moment.

Amazon Prime Day began life as an annual sales event for Amazon Prime members, but over the years, it's grown into something of a worldwide sales frenzy. Competing storefronts like Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Newegg, and others discount their stock as well in an effort to undercut Amazon during its own sale, and as a result, you can sometimes — but not always — find deals at these retailers that are better than what Amazon has on offer.

Logitech G515 review: The good

The pros highlights

The Logitech G515 sets itself apart from the run-of-the-mill midrange wireless gaming keyboards with its design. It's a low-profile design, for one, meaning a shortened base and shallower keycaps that make the keyboard both look sleeker and be more comfortable to use without a wrist rest. Logitech also flexed its artistic side with a refreshed design language versus the more premium Logitech G915 that came before it.

This keyboard is all-plastic, which you do notice (and I'll touch on again later), but it's a rather fetching design. The keyboard is divided into two halves, with a more noticeable two-tone look with the white version. The top half houses all the keys, while the bottom half slopes up into a forehead that contains the power switch, charging port, and three buttons for toggling 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and Game Mode.

It's a minimalist design that I personally love, and the per-key RGB lighting is gorgeous. That combination means the G515 can meld into any setup as long as you choose the right colorway. It's not a particularly heavy keyboard, but it does feel sturdy. The actual base has little flex to it, and the G515 does a great job staying seated on your desk when you're typing or gaming. There's a slot to store the USB dongle inside the keyboard, too, which can also be used to dual-connect to supported Logitech wireless mice.

When it comes to typing, Logitech offers low-profile linear or tactile switches with the G515, with both boasting a 1.3mm actuation distance and 3.2mm travel distance. I got to try out the linear switches (although I tend to prefer tactile), and they're wonderfully responsive, consistent, and comfortable. This keyboard feels great to type and game on, and the sound is soft and pleasant. Each switch is factory-lubricated, and there's a layer of sound-dampening foam here, too, so I can't say I'm too surprised.

If you want to squeeze more utility out of every switch, the G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL fully supports Logitech G HUB. This is a more basic software hub, but it still gives you decent customization of the LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting and very in-depth key and macro customization that Logitech dubs "KEYCONTROL."

With this, you can create and switch between various profiles, assigning shortcuts and various functions to every key — up to 15 layers, actually, if you use a combination of shortcuts, the Fn key, and an assigned G Shift key (which can even be on a mouse). That's more than I'd ever need, but G HUB is responsive and the interface is intuitive enough to make this feature useable.

Rounding the rest of the positives out, I had zero issues with Logitech's LIGHTSPEED wireless technology, which always instantly connected and stayed connected. There were no missed inputs, no lag, and no latency. Performance was excellent all around. Battery life is also surprisingly good; Logitech promises up to 36 hours with the RGB lighting turned all the way up, which seems accurate. What surprised me, however, is how good this keyboard's standby time is. I frequently forgot to turn the keyboard off overnight or even over an entire weekend, yet I never came back to a dead keyboard.

Logitech G515 review: The bad

The cons highlights

• While I adore the design of the G515, the actual build quality does leave some to be desired.
• There's also a lack of additional features, like no extra macro keys, no dial, and no additional Bluetooth connections.
• Finally, if it matters to you, these switches are not hot-swappable (but the keycaps are).

The Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED is a quality product that feels appropriately priced, but you can see the corners cut to meet that price in places. Mostly, it's in the keycaps. Yes, they're double-shot PBT with an anti-oil layer, so they're presumably durable and resistant to your fingertips, but they also feel a little too smooth and flat for my liking. At least you can replace all the keycaps if you wish, but you'll never get rid of the shakiness.

All the keycaps feel loose under your fingers, with a lot of movement in all four horizontal directions. It's not enough to make me concerned about reliability, but it is enough that you'll notice it (and may even observe keys not lining up perfectly straight like they should). Elsewhere, the heavy use of plastic is obvious, and you can tell where the various panels come together. The RGB lighting may look great, but it's also noticeably dimmer than any other gaming keyboard I've reviewed. That can all be forgiven at the price, though.

However, this keyboard is also light on extra features. Beyond the KEYCONTROL detailed above, G HUB doesn't give you much customization. There are no additional macro buttons or dedicated media keys, nor is there a customizable dial. Bluetooth connectivity is here, and that's great, but you only get one Bluetooth profile. Some may also lament the lack of a wrist rest, but I'm personally not as bothered by that omission since this is a low-profile keyboard.

You should buy this if ...

✅You want a quality, low-profile wireless gaming keyboard

The Logitech G515 may not be swimming in extra features or luxuries, but it's still a really good low-profile gaming keyboard that doesn't need a wire to stay connected. It's perfect for those that want the basics in a slim and compact form factor. The typing and gaming experience is great, and minor compromises in build quality are easily forgiven at this price.

✅You love the design of this keyboard

I personally think the Logitech G515 is a fetching gaming keyboard, especially at this price level, and its two-tone design combined with the customizable RGB lighting and low-profile form factor means it could be an excellent centerpiece for your gaming setup. At the very least, it stands out compared to the sea of drab grey keyboards out there.

You should not buy this if ...

❌You value extra features and are willing to pay more for them

Other premium low-profile gaming keyboards from Logitech and companies like Razer may be more expensive, but they also boast a lot more features and luxuries in addition to their more premium designs, like more software customization and extra remappable buttons. There are also keyboards like the Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Keyboard, which may not be low-profile but it's still very compact, very premium, and boasts swappable switches.

The Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL Wireless Gaming Keyboard isn't the most exciting peripheral I've had on my desk, but I've been able to depend on it the last few weeks to be responsive, comfortable, and reliable when gaming, typing, and everything else. Logitech has done a good job balancing an attractive design with decent build quality and has covered all the bases with its low-profile switches and feature set.

Is it the best low-profile keyboard you can buy? Certainly not, but most of the better alternatives will also cost you more, and more affordable low-profile keyboards are often more designed for the office than for gaming. You'll also be able to save even more if you're okay with dropping wireless support, as the Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL Wired is coming later this year for just $100. That's an enticing price point to get practically the same keyboard.

If Logitech's goal was to build one of the best gaming keyboards for less than $150, I'd argue that objective was met. This is a no-fuss, low-profile, wireless gaming keyboard that comes out of the box, fully ready to go and looking great, and that's exactly what a lot of gamers are looking for.

There's a practically endless number of great gaming keyboards nowadays, but there's a sizeable sub-group of gamers that prefer the ultra-compact and slim designs you can only find with the low-profile form factor. These keyboards are a little harder to find, but Logitech has announced a new addition to the category with its new G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL Wireless Gaming Keyboard.

Hailing from the Logitech G gaming brand, the G515 is a mid-range low-profile keyboard that aims to balance beautiful design with a great feature set, and it's already available to purchase for $139 at Logitech.

The Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL Wireless Gaming Keyboard is very thin at just 22mm, and features new low-profile mechanical switches with just 3.2mm of total travel distance. Logitech fans may notice the similarities between the G515 and the very popular (and premium) Logitech G915 LIGHTSPEED keyboard, but Logitech has taken its design chops to new heights with the G515 alongside some other new features and improvements.

Of course, most of the people who will consider this keyboard will do so simply because it's low profile (enough that you likely don't need a wrist rest for a comfortable and sustainable typing experience), and because it doesn't break the bank. There are plenty of other reasons to add the G515 to your shortlist, though, including its beautiful per-key RGB lighting, tri-point connectivity, and advanced software customization.

The headlining feature being KEYCONTROL, a software suite added to Logitech G Hub that lets you assign up to fifteen different functions to every single key through a combination of key combinations, the G Shift shortcut key, your mouse, and even context-aware profiles and layouts. It's an absurd level of customization for those that want to be able to do absolutely everything with the press of a few keys. It's impressive, even if it's overkill for someone like me.

The Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED tenkeyless wireless keyboard is now available in both black and white designs for $139 at Logitech. It's honestly a solid price for the feature set and quality here, but Logitech is planning to release a wired version of this keyboard with the same capabilities for $99 later this year, so look out for that.

My first impressions of the Logitech G515

A few hours before I sat down to write this, I unboxed the white Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL and replaced my daily driver (the Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Keyboard) with it. I obviously haven't had enough time with this keyboard to deliver a full review or label it as one of the best gaming keyboards you can buy, but my early impressions are positive. For one, this is the most attractive keyboard I've seen out of Logitech.

The two-tone silver and white design of my review sample is very striking, with a razor thin keyboard deck sloping sharply into the grey header that houses the connectivity buttons, the charging port, the power switch, and the USB dongle storage. It's a beautiful design, with the per-key RGB lighting gently diffusing across the deck in a similar fashion to the RGB lighting I praised on the Alienware keyboard I've been using for months.

That RGB lighting isn't very bright, though, and you can tell this is a mid-range keyboard if you look for the signs, like exposed screws and slightly uneven edges where different panels meet. It's obviously not as premium as our favorite low-profile keyboard, the Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro, but it also costs a whole lot less. As far as the actual user experience, the double-shot PBT low-profile keycaps, pre-lubricated switches, and sound dampening foam layer lead to a consistent, responsive, and quiet typing experience that feels great.

I also haven't had any issues with wireless connectivity in my limited time with this keyboard, although I plan to put it through its paces before you see my full review. I'll also want to explore the KEYCONTROL feature to see if it's actually useful or a convoluted gimmick, so stay tuned for that. For now, I'll leave you with this: the G515 LIGHTSPEED feels like a great all-around keyboard at first impressions, with a healthy feature set and lovely design for the reasonable asking price.

I'm excited to dive more into this keyboard's capabilities to see if this is the true low-cost alternative to the best low-profile keyboards that we've been needing. I'm often asked what my favorite handheld is, and it's always such a tough question to answer because not one of the gaming handhelds on the market right now are doing everything I need perfectly. For that, I'm waiting in anticipation for the official Xbox handheld to make itself known. If I had a gun to my head and had to make a Sophies Choice style decision, I know I would choose the Logitech G Cloud; it's only real failing is that it's such a high cost for a cloud-only gaming device. That is, until now. Logitech has shaved off $50, making it a lot more tempting a proposition.

Is the Logitech G Cloud worth it? 

The Logitech G Cloud has often been overlooked in the handheld gaming wars, despite its impressive features. Positioned as a cloud-based gaming device, many expected it to undercut the Steam Deck, a full-fledged gaming PC offering local games. However, its initial launch price of $349.99 in October 2022 immediately put it at a disadvantage. In comparison, even the entry-level Steam Deck at $399 seemed a better deal to most consumers, aided by  Valve's subsidy from game sales.

It's a crying shame, because the Logitech G Cloud is truly a fantastic piece of kit. It's notably lighter than the Steam Deck, making it far more comfortable for extended gaming sessions. Its battery life is exceptional, offering up to 12 hours of gameplay—a significant advantage over competitors that often require additional power banks.

Despite later dropping to $299.99, the G Cloud still seemed pricey, though it boasts a 7-inch IPS 1080p display with a 60 Hz refresh rate and robust build quality, positioning it as a solid gaming device. At its current price of $250, it becomes a compelling option, and despite my wishes I doubt it will drop lower with a lack of a revenue-generating store ecosystem like those of Steam Deck and Xbox.

Personally, I find myself using the Logitech G Cloud more than my Steam Deck, particularly at home with a stable internet connection thanks to Nvidia GeForce Now. This service eliminates the hassle of tweaking settings, ensuring smooth performance for games like Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3. It also supports remote play from Xbox and cloud-based gaming for titles like Fallout 76, all without frequent trips to the charger.

There's a small cult-like community of Logitech G Cloud owners on Reddit spreading the word about our lord and saviour, the G Cloud. Similar to the Steam Deck, it has a passionate fan base of users who, despite initial pricing concerns, stand by their purchase. Now it's a little cheaper, I hope you'll join us! 

If you love video games, chances are you also have a gaming headset to help you get the most out of your gaming experiences. People who game on multiple platforms may have multiple headsets, too. Logitech set out to do away with that particular issue, designing a premium wireless gaming headset that also acts as a hub to connect all your gaming hardware together.

The Astro A50 X is an impressive gaming headset that's comfortable, offers solid audio quality, and boasts a great list of features. Its main draw, however, is the docking station with USB and HDMI pass-through, which lets you cycle between Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows PC without ever needing to take your headset off. It's incredibly convenient once you set it up, but that process can be frustrating. For those just looking for a great gaming headset to use with one platform, too, the added cost of the Astro A50 X probably isn't worth it.

Astro A50 X review: Pricing and specifications

Pricing highlights

The Logitech Astro A50 X will give any premium wireless gaming headset competition when it comes to cost, retailing for a wildly high $379.99 at Logitech. When considered by itself, the Astro A50 X frankly doesn't compare to similarly priced gaming headsets in design, audio quality, or features. That high price tag is due to two reasons: the included docking station, and the advanced multiplatform syncing feature.

You can pick up the Astro A50 X in two colors (black or white), and use it equally with Xbox, Windows PC, PlayStation, or all of those combined. Its combination of 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and HDMI pass-through makes this headset a more capable multiplatform solution than practically anything else on the market, which may offer a lot of value to certain gamers. Unfortunately, you don't get everything you need in the box.

Astro A50 X review: Design and build quality

Design highlights

• The Astro A50 X doesn't have the most premium design nor is it the lightest headset around, but it's still great.
• The iconic Astro design language returns with extremely soft cushions and a comfortable fit.
• Controls are fairly intuitive, too, with an audio mix rocker embedded in the right earcup.

Astro has always had a distinct design language, and that hasn't changed now that the brand is under the Logitech umbrella. The Asto A50 X is a premium headset by the company's standards, but it doesn't quite stand up to the very best we've seen from other brands like Razer, Turtle Beach, and SteelSeries. Still, build quality is what you'd expect for such an expensive headset (that is to say: excellent).

The Astro A50 X is built mostly from matte black plastic, with some glossy accents and high-quality metal pillars on either side that make for a very smooth, luxurious adjusting experience. The cushions are extremely soft, and the fabric is just as comfortable, but it does have a tendency to pick up dust and hair, and I'm concerned how much wear and tear this fabric will be able to handle. Fortunately, the earcup cushions are attached via simple magnets and can be easily replaced.

At 363g, the Logitech Astro A50 X is far from the lightest headset around, but it's honestly quite comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The controls are intuitive, as well, with all buttons aligned on the back of the right earcup. From top to bottom you have the power switch with LED indicator, the PLAYSYNC button to switch between platforms, the Bluetooth button (which also handles media and call controls), and the volume wheel. The right earcup is actually a large rocker for adjusting the voice and game audio mix.

This all works really well, and the Astro A50 X doesn't fail at any of the basics. It's well-designed, built to last, and is comfortable to wear.

Astro A50 X review: Sound quality

Sound quality highlights

• The Astro A50 X has a built-in Dolby Atmos license on Xbox and Windows PC, and supports Tempest 3D Audio on PlayStation.
• Sound quality is clear and detailed, with great surround sound and an overall pleasing listening experience.
• The soundstage isn't the widest, however, and similarly priced headsets can impress a lot more on the audio front.

When you're paying so much money for a headset, it better sound good. The Logitech Astro A50 X has the audio experience handled on paper, at least, with premium 40mm drivers, support for hi-fi audio, and a built-in Dolby Atmos license with Xbox and Windows PC (PlayStation users get Tempest 3D). When you put the headset on, it does deliver... Mostly. This is the sound quality of a premium wireless gaming headset, but not the sound quality of a nearly $400 wireless gaming headset.

Games, movies, music, and everything in between come through with great volume, clarity, and detail. The Astro A50 X has a balanced sound with excellent responsiveness, and the surround sound effect is more than good enough to dominate in competitive games or obtain a truly cinematic experience. However, the overall sound stage isn't as wide and the noise isolation isn't as good as similarly priced headsets, like the Audeze Maxwell.

If I had to compare, I'd say the Astro A50 X is similar in overall audio quality to the RIG 900 MAX HX, which is a $250 headset that still includes a docking and charging station.

Astro A50 X review: Microphone quality

Microphone highlights

• The Astro A50 X has one of the best microphones of any gaming headset I've ever used.
• Great length and flexibility makes finding optimal positioning a breeze, and the headset does a fantastic job filtering out background noise.
• Overall, the Astro A50 X almost challenges the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro for the best headset microphone, an impressive achievement.

One area where the Logitech Astro A50 X does actually challenge the very best headsets is in microphone quality. It's a standard flip-to-mute, omnidirectional microphone, but is long and flexible to make it easy to position close to your mouth. Most impressively, though, this microphone boasts a 48KHz sampling rate, which is actually higher than the current headset microphone champion, the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023), at 32KHz.

This means the Astro A50 X can stream incredibly high quality audio with minimal compression, and the results are amazing. This headset efficiently filters out background noise, is clear while retaining a ton of detail, and boasts responsive dynamic range. The only weakness is with depth, with the Astro A50 X sounding more flat overall than the BlackShark V2 Pro. Still, I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by this microphone.

Astro A50 X review: Docking station and connectivity

Connectivity highlights

• The Logitech Astro A50 X relies on its docking station for almost everything, and it's the core of the headset's experience.
• You can connect your TV, Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows PC to the docking station for HDMI pass-through and wireless audio via USB.
• However, setting up the Astro A50 X can be convoluted, and the cables you need aren't included in the box.

The Logitech Astro A50 X doesn't actually connect directly to any of your devices. It only connects to its docking station, which handles all the wireless and wired connections. Yes, this even includes Bluetooth, which means your Bluetooth source device needs to stay close to the docking station, not the headset. The docking station is the core of the Astro A50 X's experience, and setting it up can take both time and effort.

The docking station features one HDMI 2.1 out port, two HDMI 2.1 in ports, two USB Type-C ports, and one dual USB Type-C / charging port. Using these ports, you can connect your TV, your Xbox, your PlayStation, and your Windows PC, and use the headset's PLAYSYNC button to switch between inputs and take advantage of the HDMI 2.1 pass-through, which supports 4K @ 120Hz, Auto Low Latency Mode, and Variable Refresh Rate.

However, the only cables included in the box are one USB Type-C to Type-A cable and one split USB Type-C cable. The former is used to connect to one console, and the latter is used to connect to power and your PC. If you want to use HDMI pass-through, you'll need to source a second HDMI 2.1 cable in addition to the one that comes with your console. If you want to connect a second console, you'll need its HDMI 2.1 cable and a second USB Type-C to Type-A cable. Even after you've secured all the cables you need, it takes time to tie everything together, and all your devices need to be relatively close to the docking station in order to work with the Astro A50 X.

When you're fully set up, the docking station handles all wireless connections. You use the PLAYSYNC button on the headset to switch between devices, and the docking station will switch inputs, connections, and audio formats automatically. Impressively, the docking station will also mute your TV speakers or soundbar automatically, as the headset is actually treated like a soundbar when in HDMI pass-through mode (this does mean you need to make sure your Xbox isn't trying to mute your soundbar when a headset is connected, or you won't have any audio).

It's all very impressive, and works mostly seamlessly. The Astro A50 X simply works with all your devices, and less than 1ms of audio latency in addition to hi-fi audio support means everything sounds amazing. You can also connect to Bluetooth simultaneously, using the Astro A50 X for calls or chat while gaming. However, wireless connectivity isn't flawless. I had many instances of wireless interference, distortion, and sound cut-out when using the Astro A50 X.

Astro A50 X review: Battery experience

Battery highlights

• The Astro A50 X is rated for around 28 hours of usage, although actual numbers seem a little bit lower than that.
• However, keeping the Astro A50 X charged is a breeze thanks to the docking station, which is quick and effortless.
• Be careful to line the Astro A50 X up properly, though, as the magnets in the docking station are weak.

Is the Logitech Astro A50 X the new battery champion with 60, 70, or even 80 hours of battery life? No, no it is not. This headset boasts around 28 hours of continued usage, despite weighing more than some longer lasting headsets and lacking power draining features like active noise cancellation. In my usage, the Astro A50 X also didn't seem to quite reach the advertised 28 hours of battery life, either.

That being said, this headset consistently lasts over 20 hours on a charge, which is more than enough for even the longest gaming session. When the session is over, simply pacing the Astro A50 X down on its docking station is all you need to do to charge. It's pain-free and charging is fast, so I never once worried the Astro A50 X would die on me. My only nitpick is that the magnets in the docking station are quite weak, so there were times where the Astro A50 X didn't sit properly in the dock at first, and I had to adjust it to get it to charge. Just something to be aware of.

Astro A50 X review: Everything else

All other highlights

• The Astro A50 X supports both Logitech G Hub and the Logitech G mobile app, both of which are good for configuring various settings.
• However, the Astro A50 X's reliance on its docking station means it's not a suitable option as an everyday pair of headphones.
• There's also no software for Xbox or PlayStation, which is a real shame.

If you want to fine tune the Logitech Astro A50 X, your options are the Logitech G Hub or the Logitech G mobile app on Android and iOS. Both apps do their job well, with clean interfaces and a solid number of options for customizing the Astro A50 X, including sleep settings, sidetone monitoring, EQ, and even advanced band modification. However, there's no such app for Xbox or PlayStation, which means you'll need to rely on your phone or Windows PC.

On top of that, the Logitech Astro A50 X is not a good choice as a mobile pair of headphones, despite its solid sound quality. That's because of its reliance on its docking station for Bluetooth connectivity, meaning it won't function too far away from the dock itself. That's a shame, but an understandable one given how complicated the Astro A50 X's wireless connectivity needs to be.

Astro A50 X review: Competition

There's no headset quite like the Logitech Astro A50 X. Sure, any of the best Xbox headsets would make an excellent partner for your Xbox or Windows PC, but none are as adept at multiplatform gaming as the Astro A50 X. A docking station that ties together Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows PC with the press of a single button, plus Bluetooth connectivity to catch the stragglers, means there's not a lot of competition if you're in the niche group that values these features.

However, most gamers don't need those multiplatform features. For them, the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro remains our #1 wireless gaming headset pick, with the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro being a close second place. If you love the idea of the docking station and want to save some cash, the RIG 900 MAX HX is an excellent headset for the money. But if sound quality is your biggest priority, then no gaming headset can compete with the luxurious audio of the Audeze Maxwell.

You should buy this if ...

✅You game on multiple platforms and want one headset for all of them

The biggest draw of the Logitech Astro A50 X is what sets it apart from practically all other gaming headsets. If you game on multiple platforms and don't want to have to switch headsets, the Astro A50 X will handle it all. You can quickly and easily switch between consoles without breaking a sweat, and have a premium audio experience with every platform.

✅You really value the docking station

Not many gaming headsets come with a docking station nowadays, so options are limited. The Logitech Astro A50 X is far from the most affordable wireless gaming headset with a charging dock, but it's still a fantastic overall option that can also work with basically every gaming platform under the sun.

You should not buy this if ...

❌You only game on one or two platforms

If you're primarily an Xbox and Windows PC gamer (or one or the other), then there are far better gaming headsets for your money than the Logitech Astro A50 X. If you have a sizeable budget and want a premium headset, you can get better build quality, greater comfort, superior audio quality, and more features for around the same price as the Astro A50 X... You'll just have to give up the multiplatform compatibility.

The Logitech Astro A50 X is an aspirational product, the kind you couldn't believe didn't exist... But also the kind you probably won't buy. That's because this premium wireless gaming headset by design only appeals to a small fraction of the gaming population — Those that game on multiple platforms in the same setup. For the hardcore gamers that love Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows PC equally (and Switch and mobile, because why not?), then the Astro A50 X is almost unbeatable.

By itself, the Astro A50 X is a solid premium gaming headset with a comfortable design and respectable audio quality, but it's the docking station that really makes it stand out. It's the perfect example of an extremely complicated product that's so easy to use it feels simple, and the end result is a headset that really can switch between platforms with the press of a single button. For some, that's all they'll need to hear to pull the trigger on the Logitech Astro A50 X. For the rest of use, you might get more value out of a more traditional gaming headset.

Millions of mice are available, making it difficult to determine the best mouse in 2024. Of course, opinions may vary depending on what you're using it for. What if I told you the answer to this question is now more complicated than ever, depending on how useful you find AI?

Logitech just announced the launch of Logi AI Prompt Builder — a free tool that brings the power of AI directly to your keyboard and mouse. The tool essentially allows you to leverage OpenAI's ChatGPT capabilities faster.

According to Delphine Donné, Logitech's general manager of the Personal Workspace business:

"New Logi AI Prompt Builder is a shortcut to AI fluency for anyone with a Logitech mouse or keyboard compatible with Logi Options+ software who wants easily to access AI's limitless potential."

It's worth noting that anyone with a Logitech-branded mouse or keyboard supported by the English language version of the Logi Options+ software will have access to the tool, including Logitech MX, Ergo, Signature, and Studio Series devices. You can navigate the app to identify a shortcut key on your keyboard or mouse button that you want to assign the responsibility to open and close the tool.

Once you've launched the Logi AI Prompt Builder, it will automatically pick up the selected text and allow you to rephrase or summarize it. Alternatively, you can customize and personalize the queries to meet your needs and wants. It can be specific to the "tone, style, complexity or length you want the final answer to be."

Logitech mouse gets a dedicated AI prompt button

Alongside the debut of the new Logi AI Prompt Builder, Logitech is also unveiling a new wireless mouse that boasts its own dedicated AI prompt button. The Logitech Signature AI Edition Mouse ships with two AI buttons. The first one launches Logitech's new Logi AI Prompt Builder software, whereas the second one serves as a shortcut to access OpenAI's ChatGPT service. 

You can use the AI Prompt Builder software despite not having a ChatGPT subscription, as it only leverages the chatbot's capabilities to generate responses. Users are encouraged to log out of their ChatGPT accounts for the best performance and unlimited queries as the Prompt Builder "will take away from their ChatGPT allotments" (via PCMag).

In a separate report, the dedicated AI button on the Signature AI Mouse only launched ChatGPT when The Verge's Emilia David wasn't using her browser windows. This finding potentially cancels the efficiency and expedited access to AI tools the accessory purports to bring.

The Logi AI Prompt Builder software is already free for Windows and Mac users via the Logi Options+ app. Logitech's Signature AI Edition Mouse will be available exclusively on Logitech.com in the US and UK for $49.99 and £54.99, respectively.

Future PCs are heavily influenced by AI

AI is a big deal this year, consistent with the multiple announcements made by companies slated to debut AI PCs. But what's an AI PC exactly? According to Microsoft, a dedicated Copilot key on the keyboard coupled with a new CPU, GPU, and NPU pretty much sums it up. 

As you might recall, Microsoft announced what some might consider "the most significant change to the Windows keyboard in 30 years," adding a dedicated Copilot AI button key to all future PCs.

Users seem to react differently towards adding dedicated AI buttons on keyboards and mice. It'll be interesting to see if they eventually warm up to the change with the AI revolution.

Professional-quality audio that's still beginner-friendly

If you've watched a video, a live stream, or listened to a podcast online in recent years, there's a good chance at least one of the content creators was using a Blue Yeti USB condenser microphone. The Yeti microphone utilizes a triple condenser can array to record audio, and users can select between cardioid, bidirectional, omnidirectional, and stereo patterns using Blue VOICE software. All that power is packed into a sleek metal casing with a silver finish and topped off with a knob to adjust the gain setting.

Because of its budget-friendly price point and crisp, clean audio recording, the Blue Yeti has dominated the audioscape for content creators. With plug-and-play USB support and easy-to-customize settings, it is undeniably user-friendly. The Yeti is accessible for beginners, but still manages to be flexible enough that even more advanced creators can benefit from the high-quality sound. 

There are additional colorways available for this line of Yeti microphones, but at the time of writing this, only the silver model is marked down to the $89 price tag. The Blue Yeti includes an adjustable stand out of the box, but it is also compatible with boom arms. You will want to check that the boom arm can support the Yeti's weight, as the Yeti tips the scales at 3.2 pounds.

The Blue Yeti is an older model microphone, and Logitech has retired the Blue brand since it acquired the company in 2018. The company announced two new Yeti microphones at the end of 2023.

The Logitech MX Master 2S is such a ridiculously comfortable and multifunctional mouse I can't believe Logitech ever bothered releasing updates for it. In the MX 2S, they crafted perfection, there is nowhere else to go — but not everyone is in the market for a $100 mouse. Thankfully, as it's aged, the price has come down considerably, and during the Spring sales it's dropped even lower to a much more palatable $59.99 at Newegg. It may have escaped some eyes as a hot deal given they are listing a previous sales price as original, but yes, this jaw-droppingly good mouse was $100 MSRP. It may not be the latest model, but it's still a legend and one I'm using to write this very post!

The MX, the mouse, the legend

Even after half a decade, the Logitech MX Master 2S remains available to buy brand new, despite updated versions like the MX Master 3S trying to dethrone it. It's that good, and it still holds it's ground as one of the best mice you can buy. With one of the most ergonomic designs ever put out. If there's a comfier mouse to use than an MX Master 2S, I haven't found it yet. 

When replacing an old mouse last year, I asked my colleagues at Windows Central for their recommendations — having a group chat full of tech reviewers is quite an advantage. Pretty much everyone recommended the MX Master 2S, but seeing the price of it, I wasn't sold. Eventually, it hit the Amazon Prime Day sales, and I managed to grab one, but it was not as cheap as this deal. I'm not bitter, though; it's been the best laptop accessory I've ever purchased, and if it broke tomorrow, I'd be buying another one in a heartbeat.

When we wrote our initial Logitech MX Master 2S review, it was rightly given our highest award. 

Besides being ridiculously comfortable due to its ergonomic design, the MX Master 2S can control up to three devices at the same time. So, I can easily switch from using it with my laptop to a PC without even messing with the included wireless receiver. On the often chance I've misplaced the receiver, I've been able to switch to Bluetooth. It's an incredibly versatile bit of kit. My favorite feature is the ability to side-scroll through spreadsheets at the flick of the thumb.

Additionally its laser sensor can operate on basically any surface. which is great for me as I'm constantly working from unconventional places. I've used this mouse on everything from carpet to a glass coffee table and it hasn't stuttered. These are still not widespread features you can find in just any mouse, and at the time, were just part of why this commanded a premium price of $100. 

While still maintaining its premium status, the MX Master 2S is now available at a significantly reduced price, making it unbeatable value. I would argue that it's nearly impossible to find a mouse that offers better performance and versatility for the money.

I've been on a streak recently of reviewing exceptionally great products, and Logitech is continuing that with its MX Keys S wireless keyboard. A curated companion for the legendary Logitech MX Master 3S wireless mouse, the MX Keys S is wholly focused on productivity. It boasts a suite of features, including customizable function keys, per-app custom profiles, and multi-device connectivity for up to three devices at a time.

For those that need a capable and reliable keyboard for getting work done across devices and platforms, the Logitech MX Keys S is a fantastic choice. The hardware isn't perfect, though, and some of the weaknesses of the MX Master 3S mouse also apply to this product. There are areas in which Logitech can improve the next generation version of this keyboard, but the current product is still very easy to recommend to most people.

MX Keys S: Pricing and specifications

Pricing highlights

• The Logitech MX Keys S retails for $109.99, which is verging into the pricey side of keyboards.

With a retail price of $109.99 at Logitech, the Logitech MX Keys S isn't exactly cheap. It's still a fair bit cheaper than the most premium wireless gaming keyboards (and especially bespoke custom affairs), but most people don't need to spend that much on a productivity-focused keyboard. The MX Keys S does justify its price, however, with a very polished and refined design combined with plenty of customizable features. It's available in three different colors to match your setup, too. In the box, you get the Logitech MX Keys S wireless keyboard, a USB Type-C to Type-A charging cable, and the Logi Bolt USB Type-A 2.4GHz wireless receiver.

The Logitech MX Palm Rest is unfortunately a separate, optional purchase. It's an extra $19.99 at Logitech if you want it, but it should just be included. Fortunately, you can pick up the MX Keys S Combo and effectively get the wrist rest for free and an additional $10 off the MX Keys S wireless keyboard and MX Master 3S wireless mouse. It's a fantastic bundle for two products that feel made for each other, especially considering they can both share the same Logi Bolt wireless dongle.

MX Keys S: What's good

The good highlights

• Logitech has designed the MX Keys S for productivity use, with a roomy layout and lots of extra function keys.
• The typing experience is responsive and accurate, and there's a full-sized tenkey number pad.
• The function keys are very smartly chosen, but you can customize them all through Logi Options+.

At first glance, the Logi MX Keys S doesn't appear much different from the army of cheap, plastic keyboards you're liable to find in schools and businesses around the world, but actually using it quickly proves its quality. The keyboard layout is spacious and intelligent, and the typing action is responsive, tactile, and quiet. It's a great experience that ensured both accuracy and speed almost immediately after setting it up. In this way, the MX Keys S is very similar to its predecessor (you can read our Logitech MX Keys review for more info).

While this is a full-sized keyboard with a tenkey number pad (which I appreciate), it has a thin profile that doesn't take up an unreasonable amount of space, with a sizeable rear bulge that props the keyboard up at an angle and keeps it seated on solid rubber feet. There are three dedicated buttons for switching between devices quickly (one via 2.4GHz and two via Bluetooth Low Energy), perfectly match the Logitech MX Master 3S' multi-device connectivity.

When you're using the keyboard, battery life is quite good. It's not as long-lasting as its mouse companion, but I rarely had to charge the keyboard. Standby time is also excellent, so you don't have to stress if you accidentally forget to turn the MX Keys S, like with other keyboards. Backlighting is great, too; a proximity sensor activates the backlighting automatically when you get close, and an ambient light sensor automatically sets the appropriate brightness level.

What elevates the MX Keys S over other premium office-bound wireless keyboards, however, is Logi Options+. You can customize all of the Fn and additional macro keys with new shortcuts, including keyboard shortcuts, defined system actions, and even Logitech's smart actions, which let you perform a series of actions with one button press. What's more, you can create custom profiles for individual applications, with the MX Keys S intelligently switching between profiles. The MX Keys S is a comfortable, smartly designed keyboard with great platform compatibility (it's actually labelled for both Windows and macOS) and strong, reliable, and feature-packed software.

MX Keys S: What's not good

The bad highlights

• The MX Keys S has the features and design of a premium product, but it's heavy and made entirely of plastic.
• There's also no way to store the USB dongle in the keyboard, same as the MX Master 3S.
• Finally, the wrist rest is an optional, additional purchase (and the wrist rest itself isn't exceptional).

I've really been enjoying my time with the MX Keys S, but it wasn't a struggle to find some complaints with it. For one, while the design is intelligent and the features are useful, this is an all-plastic keyboard that is surprisingly heavy, and the build quality isn't impeccable. Simply picking up the MX Keys S will result in some unsettling creaking and groaning, when the MX Master 3S mouse is beautifully with more premium materials.

The design could also improve, too. There's no way to adjust the height of the keyboard thanks to all the internals being shoved into one immovable bulge, and that bulge contains no way to stash the USB Type-A wireless receiver for travel purpose (the same complaint I had with the MX Master 3S). On a design-related note, while I love this keyboard for working, I certainly wouldn't choose it first for gaming — the key travel is just too short, and the wireless performance isn't reliable enough. You're better off opting for one of the best gaming keyboards, like the Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Keyboard, instead, which also boasts multi-device wireless connectivity.

My final complaint is a little more nitpicky; the MX Keys S Combo Logitech sent me to review does include the MX Palm Rest, a silicone-feeling thin and light wrist rest that sits detached from the MX Keys S. However, this is actually a separate $20 purchase from the keyboard itself. The wrist rest is fine, and I don't actually hate that it's detached (lets you move it where it works best for you), but it's not good enough to warrant being a separate purchase, in my opinion. If you do want it, though, the Logitech MX Palm Rest is $19.99 at Logitech.

MX Keys S: Final thoughts

For years now, I've been predominantly using gaming keyboards and gaming mice, so I wasn't certain what to expect from the Logitech MX Keys S (and its MX Master 3S mouse sibling). After using the duo for a few weeks, though, I can see the effort made to make this keyboard as good as possible for those with a job to do. The design, typing experience, extra keys, and software are all centered around being productive.

Both the MX Keys S and MX Master 3S are perfect for multi-device, multi-platform setups, and boast per-application smart profiles to adapt on the fly to any workflow. Whether you're tearing through Excel spreadsheets or editing videos for eight hours a day, these peripherals will make your job easier. I'll be switching back to my gaming-centric accessories, but only because I, you know... game. The Logitech MX Keys S is an excellent wireless keyboard, and the MX Keys S Combo you can get for $199.99 at Logitech is honestly a very compelling deal for a great keyboard, mouse, and wrist rest.

It retails for $99.99 at Logitech, an investment that will undoubtedly last you years. In the box, you get the Logitech MX Master 3S wireless mouse, a USB Type-C to USB Type-A charging cable, and the Logi Bolt 2.4GHz wireless dongle (which can pair with multiple Logitech MX devices simultaneously).

MX Master 3S: What's good

The good highlights

• The Logitech MX Master 3S feels like a premium product all the way through, with great build quality.
• It's comfortable to use and intelligently designed, with plenty of extra features built into Logi Options+.
• It's also a long-lasting wireless mouse that can connect up to three devices wirelessly.

There are many good things to say about the Logitech MX Master 3S. In fact, most of it is the same as what we said in our Logitech MX Master 3 review; the major differences here are a higher-performance sensor, quieter clicks, new software features, and more focus on sustainability with a carbon-neutral certification. You get an aggressively rounded mouse with tactile buttons on the top and side, a flared thumb rest with another built-in button, and two clever scroll wheels (horizontal and vertical).

This mouse is very comfortable to use as long as you're right-handed. The button actions are tactile, responsive, and true to Logitech's word; they don't make a ton of noise. The most impressive element is, by far, the electromagnetic scroll wheel, which can be toggled between tactile scrolling and infinite free scrolling — but it can also automatically switch between the two based on the force of your scrolling. It works so well that I immediately miss it on every other mouse I use. It's satisfyingly precise scrolling all the time but massively high-speed scrolling when you need it.

Matching its sibling, the MX Keys S keyboard, the MX Master 3S can connect to up to three devices across different platforms (one via 2.4GHz, two more via Bluetooth Low Energy) and quickly switch between them via a single button. This feature pairs well with the excellent battery life, with up to 70 hours of usage on a single charge and fast charging via USB Type-C. This estimate felt very accurate in my testing, with the MX Master 3S consistently outlasting its keyboard sibling in endurance.

The center of the MX Master 3S' greatness, however, is its software. Sure, the hardware is expectantly amazing, but Logi Options+ gives you a ton of control. The app is fast, reliable, and well-designed and lets you reprogram all the buttons, customize your performance settings, manage your device connections (including controlling multiple computers simultaneously with the same mouse), and even create custom per-app control profiles. Enjoy a horizontal scroll while web browsing, but timeline scrubbing when editing video, volume controls when listening to music, and anything else you can think of for all of the MX Master 3S controls. It's easy to set up and works flawlessly.

MX Master 3S: What's not good

The bad highlights

• Despite years of refinement on what's already considered the best premium productivity mouse, the MX Master 3S still isn't perfect.
• There's still no way to store the USB wireless receiver in the mouse, and small differences in the actuation force of buttons can result in misclicks.
• There's also no left-handed version of the mouse available, which disqualifies a group of people from being able to use the MX Master 3S.

Logitech has been quietly refining the MX Master line of mice for years now and has consistently ranked among the very best with every iteration. However, there are still improvements to be made even with the latest version. For one, the MX Master 3S still lacks any way to store the USB Type-A 2.4GHz wireless receiver in its body for travel or storage, a complaint that has been carried throughout the line's existence. Come on, Logitech, give us a slot for the dongle.

Speaking of wireless, the performance and stability of the MX Master 3S just don't match the excellence I've experienced with the best gaming mice from companies like Razer and Alienware. The upgraded sensor feels great most of the time, but I observed many instances of flawed tracking, stutters, and wireless interference regardless of where I plugged the receiver in. It's good 98% of the time, but those few occasions of imperfect wireless connectivity matter in such a premium product.

There's also no option for a left-handed MX Master 3S; unlike other more ambiguous designs, Logitech's mouse leaves no room for left-handed use, and that's a shame for the sizeable group of people who desire that. Finally, and this is admittedly a decidedly minor issue of optimization, the different actuation forces required to depress each of the MX Master 3S' buttons occasionally resulted in me misclicking buttons when I didn't intend to. I also wish the horizontal scroll wheel used the same electromagnetic technology as the vertical one.

MX Master 3S: Final thoughts

The Logitech MX Master 3S isn't exactly surprising. The MX Master 3 was great, as was the MX Master 2S, as was the... you get the point. Each generation brings with it some mild improvements over the last, culminating in a near-perfect wireless mouse carefully designed for the productivity champions of the world — those multitasking, flying through apps, and generally kicking business butt.

It feels every bit the premium product it is, and I have zero doubts it'll endure years of abuse and keep on clicking. It's reliable, packed with features, and comfortable to use; the Logitech MX Master 3S is so good it's genuinely difficult to criticize. If the future MX Master 4 adds USB dongle storage and improves wireless stability, it may very well be the perfect productivity-focused wireless mouse.

The company has quietly been among the top webcams from any reputable critic for many years, with its Brio line of webcams especially dominating conversation. These webcams aren't pushing boundaries or innovating — Logitech only occasionally releases new hardware at all. Now, Logitech has finally ended a nearly six-year silence by releasing a brand-new premium 4K webcam... And brought in another brand that fills a similar role in its respective categories. This is the Logitech MX Brio, and it sets a new benchmark for other companies to innovate around.

MX Brio review: Pricing and specifications

Pricing highlights

• The Logitech MX Brio follows in its predecessor's footsteps with a retail price of $199.99.
• That firmly places it in the "premium" category but still well below the $300+ of some of the best webcams out there.
• Considering the consistent quality and ease of use, $200 feels very reasonable for the MX Brio.

You can find a very solid webcam for less than $100 if you need something basic, but quality 4K webcams tend to start at around the $200 mark, and the Logitech MX Brio is no exception. It follows in the footsteps of the Logitech Brio 4K when it launched, arriving with a $199.99 retail price tag. For that price, you're getting Logitech's guarantee of image and build quality that you don't necessarily get in more affordable competitors.

In the box, you're getting the 4K Logitech MX Brio webcam with its built-in physical privacy shutter and dual microphone array, a 1.5m USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable, and the simple magnetic mount. Logitech isn't innovating or breaking new ground with the MX Brio, but it is a very straightforward, easy-to-use webcam with excellent overall quality, making it a fantastic entryway to premium webcams that doesn't require much consideration.

For businesses, there is an enterprise version of the MX Brio that is practically identical but includes integration with Logi Tune for remote fleet management.

MX Brio review: Design and build quality

Design highlights

• The MX Brio is your standard "candy bar" webcam with a wide rectangular body only broken by the circular camera lens protrusion.
• The webcam overall feels extremely refined and polished with fantastic build quality and a stable, easy-to-setup mount.
• It's also certified carbon neutral like Logitech's other products and uses up to 82% post-consumer recycled plastics.

The Logitech MX Brio doesn't capture your attention; it wouldn't even stand out in a lineup of any miscellaneous webcams. It blends into the background, leaving your focus on your monitor and the video conferences you're presumably in for much of the work week. That's by design, of course. What matters here is overall construction, and Logitech did a fantastic job ensuring the MX Brio feels like a polished, refined, and long-lasting product with an intelligent design.

The webcam magnetically attaches to a foldable mount that's not only extremely easy to set up but also features a sticky pad (which Logitech assures me is very reusable) that helps keep the webcam secured to the back of your monitor. It's simple and effective. The MX Brio also boasts a built-in privacy shutter that you toggle by spinning the plastic rim of the camera lens. It opens and shuts with an oh-so-satisfying click that's almost addictive; at the very least, it's reassuring.

The MX Brio continues Logitech's commitment to carbon neutrality, too. Everything down to its packaging is constructed of materials obtained from sustainable sources, including the body being made of up to 82% post-consumer recycled plastic. I like to see that from every company, and Logitech is definitely doing a good job here. To wrap things up, there's a front-facing LED indicator light that lets you know if the camera or microphone is active.

MX Brio review: Camera and video quality

Camera highlights

• The Logitech MX Brio wields an 8.5MP 4K sensor with 70% larger pixels than Logitech's last flagship webcam.
• This translates to vastly superior lowlight performance, as well as improvements to clarity, dynamic range, and more.
• The MX Brio isn't going to compete with dedicated cameras like DSLRs, but the image quality is consistently great in a wide variety of lighting conditions.

The Logitech Brio 4K has remained a go-to recommendation for as long as it has because of its reliable image quality, and the MX Brio focuses on offering massive improvements over it. That means Logitech's most advanced camera sensor yet, an 8.5MP affair that records at up to 4K and 30 FPS, with 70% larger pixels than the Brio 4K.

Those larger pixels and other improvements lead to huge gains in lowlight performance and up to 2x the clarity and detail in faces. Seeing the two webcams used side-by-side, I can attest to that jump in quality. The MX Brio is an impressive performer in a wide range of difficult lighting conditions, with noticeably superior detail in darker settings, fast autofocus, and more reliable white balance and exposure (the MX Brio can occasionally take a few seconds too long to adjust white balance, though).

The Logitech MX Brio isn't the best-looking webcam ever made and still isn't going to be the best dedicated, high-end camera, but this level of performance is frankly excellent at $200. Logitech has clearly put a lot of work into the color science to ensure that the camera's automatic settings can respond favorably to whatever lighting you may have, and it works well.

Unfortunately, the MX Brio does not include a dedicated IR sensor, meaning it's actually missing one major feature over the six-year-old Brio 4K. There's no Windows Hello facial recognition support here, so the Brio 4K can't double as your biometric login. It's relegated to webcam duties, and that's it.

MX Brio review: Microphone and audio quality

Mic highlights

• The MX Brio has a pretty standard dual array of beamforming mics with AI-powered noise cancellation.
• Quality is aggressively average — the MX Brio does a great job picking up your voice, but you're guaranteed to sound hollow and tinny.
• The noise reduction is also decidedly standard, doing alright with consistent background noise like air conditioning but doing next to nothing with more irregular noises like keyboard typing.

The MX Brio does not impress in the audio department anywhere near to the same degree as it does video. Admittedly, most of the people shelling out for a premium webcam like the Logitech MX Brio likely already have a solid microphone, but the fact remains that this dual-array microphone setup can't be described as anything more than average.

The one thing these mics do very well is pick up your voice from a comfortable distance away and at a good volume, but you're not going to sound great. Audio quality out of these mics is hollow, tinny, and has a tendency to peak easily. On top of that, the AI-powered noise reduction does very little beyond softening consistent background noise like air conditioning. Even typing on the quiet Logitech MX Keys S keyboard reflected boldly in my recordings.

They'll do in a pinch, but you probably don't want to rely on the MX Brio's mics full-time. It's worth picking up a good dedicated microphone like the AVerMedia Live Streamer MIC 350.

MX Brio review: Software and other features

Software highlights

• Logitech has integrated the MX Brio into Logi Options+ (for managing MX products), G Hub (for gamers and streamers), and Logi Tune (for large businesses.
• The feature set between Options+ and G Hub is identical, so it's really about what's more convenient for your setup as a whole.
• All in all, though, the MX Brio is very light on extra features compared to other premium webcams, and even a basic feature like auto-frame is restricted to the enterprise version.

You have the choice of using Logi Options+ or Logitech G Hub to manage the MX Brio. There's little difference between them apart from the other products they manage — if you're a professional using multiple Logitech MX products, then Options+ is the way to go. If you're a gamer or content creator using Logitech's more gaming-focused gear, then G Hub is the way to go. Either way, the MX Brio's features will be the same.

You have basic manual controls for the MX Brio's image quality, including color toning and exposure, as well as very simple options for framing (this is a wide-angle lens, and you can cut in to focus on your face). That's where it ends, however; the MX Brio doesn't bake in extra features like other premium webcams, so there are no advanced image quality features (such as composite exposure), filters, auto zooming, or background blur. Of course, that also means there's no virtual camera for video conferences and streaming since the MX Brio doesn't support any features that would require that. You're reliant on apps like Google Meet and Zoom to help you there.

NVIDIA Broadcast is always an option to give you some of these features, but I had trouble getting the MX Brio to reliably work with NVIDIA's AI-powered app (it may need to be updated to officially support the MX Brio). Another basic feature, auto framing, is also missing here... But only for consumers. The enterprise version of the MX Brio (the Brio 705) will boast auto framing. Logitech told me its reasoning was that most consumers didn't use that feature, but it's still an odd omission as it has nothing to do with hardware.

The business-focused MX Brio 705 will support Logi Tune, which makes it easy for companies to manage fleets of Logitech hardware. All things considered, the software is the major weakness of the MX Brio — there are exactly zero options for managing the mic array, for example. It's an area Logitech could improve upon moving forward, but right now, the MX Brio is good at the basics and little else.

MX Brio review: Competition

One of the most direct competitors for the Logitech MX Brio is the aging Logitech Brio 4K. The reigning webcam champion may have a replacement from Logitech now, but that webcam costs a fair bit less than the MX Brio and boasts Windows Hello support. The Brio 4K doesn't look nearly as good as the MX Brio, though, especially in lowlight situations.

Another very strong competitor is the Lumina AI Webcam. It also retails for $200 and has similar hardware and design. This webcam may not have the consistent image quality of the MX Brio, but it does pack in a ton of AI-powered features and advanced options. The one downside is that the software needs to be licensed, sadly.

If you don't need 4K and are simply looking for a solid all-in-one option, the AnkerWork B600 Video Bar is the definition of "everything but the kitchen sink." It's your webcam, mic, lighting, and speakers all in one peripheral, and it costs the same as MX Brio. It's a jack of all trades, but it masters being a webcam nearly to the same degree as the MX Brio. Finally, those willing to splurge extra can consider the OBSBOT Tiny 2, an absolutely incredibly hyper-premium webcam packed with features and gorgeously smooth gimbal tracking.

Of course, you can skip all the decision-making entirely and simply use your smartphone as your Windows 11 webcam.

MX Brio review: Final thoughts

I'm confident the Logitech MX Brio will neatly replace its predecessor, the Brio 4K, as the go-to recommendation for anyone who asks, "Which webcam should I buy?" and just wants the best webcam without thinking about it. It's a very good, straightforward webcam that exceeds the image quality and construction you can expect at $200, with a simple setup and easy-to-use software. Its lowlight performance is especially impressive and is perfect for anyone lacking great lighting in their setup.

While the MX Brio excels at the basics, it lacks heavily many of the advanced features that other premium webcams are toting. Software options are limited, and you'll be reliant on your video conferencing hardware like Google Meet and Zoom for basic options like background blur (and those backgrounds are never as good as native options). The MX Brio also misses Windows Hello support, something that its six-year-old predecessor retains; it's one omission that prevents this webcam from being the unanimous best in Logitech's webcam lineup.

Logitech has designed the MX Brio to carry the company through the next six years at a time when other companies like OBSBOT, Razer, and Elgato are innovating and evolving in the category. The MX Brio is a truly excellent webcam that nails the fundamentals, but it'll be interesting to see if its software features expand over time to come closer to the competition.

The standout feature of the Logitech MX Vertical is its design. The mouse rests at 57 degrees, so I suppose it's only sort of "vertical." But Logitech chose that angle specifically to help wrists and arms rest at a natural angle. If you relax your arms and let them fall naturally, you'll notice they don't lay at the normal angle a traditional mouse forces them to. The Logitech MX Vertical slots right into your hand while it's relaxed.

The mouse has a couple of nice other additions, such as a forward and back button right where your thumb lies. A button on the top can toggle the DPI and a button on the bottom of the mouse swaps the accessory between up to three devices. The Logitech MX Vertical supports Logitech FLOW, so you can drag the mouse's cursor from one screen to another.

Battery life on the Logitech MX Vertical is excellent, but when you do need to charge it, you can do so through USB-C. The charging port is on the front of the mouse, making it easy to use when connected. You can use the mouse when connected through a wire, but it also works with Bluetooth or a USB dongle.

A great mouse is always a great mouse, even after several years

There's a reason that even after five years you can still buy the Logitech MX Master 2S new. It's that good. Even though the MX Master 3S is the latest and greatest, its predecessor is still hanging around. That should tell you a lot. It's an icon, with one of the most ergonomic designs ever put out. If there's a comfier mouse to use than an MX Master, we haven't found it yet. 

When we wrote our initial Logitech MX Master 2S review, it was rightly given our highest award. 

Besides the best-in-class ergonomics, the MX Master 2S can be used to control up to three devices at the same time, and its laser sensor can operate on basically any surface. These are still not widespread features you can find in just any mouse, and at the time, were just part of why this commanded a premium price. 

The MX Master 2S is still a premium mouse, but now you can get one at a much more affordable price. I've paid less than £40 for this, and it's impossible to get a better mouse for this money. Whichever side of the Atlantic you're on, this is still a king among mice, and well worth your investment.

Simply the best Windows webcam

When it comes to webcams in the Windows space, most of them are "meh" at best. But not the Logitech BRIO 4K, which has been our pick for best Windows webcam for a number of years. For much of the last decade, Logitech's G920 and G29 wheels have been the go-to options for many gamers due to their robust construction and premium quality. They don't come cheap — right now, they normally go for $300 — but thanks to some fantastic Amazon Prime Big Deal Days discounts, both the G920 and the G29 are just $200.

That's a massive $100 sale, and the lowest we've ever seen either of these legendary controllers go. If you've been looking for a wheel to use in the latest and greatest racing games like the 2023 reboot of Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon 5, and Grand Turismo 7, we strongly recommend picking one of these up before these deals go away tomorrow.

Even though they're technically two distinct SKUs, the G920 and the G29 are extremely similar in most respects. Both wheels are designed and built with high quality hand-stitched leather and lots of steel, and a set of pressure-sensitive acceleration and braking pedals is included with each as well. Regardless of which you get, you can also look forward to dual-motor force feedback, lock-to-lock rotation, onboard gamepad buttons that make it easy to navigate game menus, and clamps you can use to keep everything firmly in place at your battlestation.

If you're playing on Xbox, you'll need the G920, as it's the version of the wheel that Logitech made for Microsoft's consoles. The G29, meanwhile, is for Sony's PlayStation systems. Both are fully compatible with Windows PCs and can be tweaked with Logitech's G HUB software, though PC gamers will likely prefer the G29 since it also comes with a few additional buttons you can use for adjustments and some neat RPM lights, making it marginally better. The G29 is typically a little pricier because of this, though at the moment, both wheels have the same price tag.

In our Logitech G920 review, we gave the controller a perfect 5/5 stars and noted that it's "such an engaging piece of hardware that transforms the [racing] experience." We loved it then, and even after all this time, we still love it — and he G29 — now. Logitech's wheels have reigned supreme as the best racing accessories for years, and thanks to this killer Amazon Big Deal Days discount, there's never been a better time to pick one up.

The company also indicated that the entry ships with a similar experience as the first SUPERLIGHT but with significant enhancements and improvements. 

The 60-gram mouse complements the tenkeyless keyboard for users looking to achieve a simple and clean look and setup. This is because of its "compact design and its trusted lightspeed wireless technologies."

Coming in at $159, the G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 promises great performance, precision, and dependability when it comes to your gaming needs. The entry sports LIGHTFORCE Hybrid Switches, HERO 2 Sensor with tracking exceeding 500 inches per second and up to 32,000 DPI, 95-hour battery life, PRO-grade technology, and more.

Logitech also cites that the gaming mouse's array design helps enhance the working range while maintaining tracking performance regardless of whether the device is lifted or tilted.

It's also worth noting that Logitech is embracing convenience and mobility with this keyboard, hence the carrying case. Users will also be able to choose between Tactile Switches (GX Brown), Linear Switches (GX Red), or Clicky Switches (GX Blue).

Logitech has also interconnected the DPI, sensitivity, report rate, surface, game settings, and more in its new PRO Series products. The company also promises better control and configuration capabilities for gamers, including:

• New sensitivity UI in G HUB and OMM for configuring DPI with full presets, separate X/Y axis controls, and more.
• HERO 2 sensor that can copy settings from one mouse to the other to make sure you get the exact DPI from your old mouse.
• Programmable F keys as G keys on the PRO X 2 Keyboard to enable control of your whole desktop. Change mouse DPI preset, execute multibuy macros, combine spells and abilities, and even control your stream through powerful plugins, including those from Streamlabs.

The Logitech G Cloud launched to - let’s face it - raised eyebrows in 2022. Not because of any questions about Logitech’s ability to deliver a quality handheld, but entirely due to its price point of $349.99 in the US for a cloud gaming device. 

A cloud gaming device that was being launched into a fierce handheld gaming market where the Steam Deck was making waves, being a handheld full PC priced at $399.99 for the base model. 

So, who was the Logitech G Cloud marketed at exactly? Well, it turns out, it’s perfect for people like me - and despite owning the Steam Deck, the Logitech G Cloud isn’t left on the shelf, and I’ve been using it more and more. I love this thing and I think it deserves its place in the hall of great gaming devices.

I’ll admit, I too wrote off the Logitech G Cloud at launch, most of all because it was only released in the US, and I didn’t have access to it. I liked the idea of the device but knew the price point would be a stinger for most consumers when weighed against alternatives. Luckily, the Logitech G Cloud was finally released in the UK and Europe to little fanfare in May, and I managed to get my hands on one courtesy of Logitech. So, bear in mind that this unit was provided to us for testing, but Logitech didn’t stipulate we needed to write anything about it. In fact, we already have a full review from Zachary Boddy on our US-shores, but I’ve loved using it so much I felt compelled to share my experience.

The Logitech G Cloud beats both the Steam Deck and Nintendo for comfort

I've got a Steam Deck, which in return for being able to play most games means it's a pretty beefy unit and I certainly need to rest my hands on a cushion when using it else my wrists will soon feel on fire. I love my Steam Deck, but it's weight and size don't necessarily lend themselves to the portability it boasts, at least not for long periods.

The Logitech G Cloud, however, is incredibly light and of a slim design, it's like playing on... a cloud. Of course, this is because it's not relying on running your games off its own hardware, but it's worth mentioning that it's miles more comfortable to use than either the Steam Deck or the Nintendo Switch. My colleague reviewed the ROG Ally and mentioned its form factor was also much better than the Steam Deck, but you're looking at paying up to $1000 for the privilege.

It's comfort also means younger members of the family have taken a shine to it, my son can play Paw Patrol on Game Pass comfortably, and he's already worked out how to navigate to the YouTube app to get his favorite videos. It's turned into a device for all of the family, and due to being made of less moving parts than the Steam Deck I'm more than happy for him to play with it. 

The Logitech G Cloud has some serious stamina

 One of the biggest drawbacks of handheld gaming devices is their poor battery life. Whether it’s the Steam Deck, the ROG Ally, or even the Switch, they all struggle to last more than a couple of hours without needing a power source. This can be very frustrating and inconvenient, especially if you want to play games on the go or away from home. You might need to carry a bulky power bank or look for an outlet every time you want to enjoy some gaming. But not with the Logitech G Cloud. This device has an insane battery life that blows away any other handheld device on the market.

I was playing Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Logitech G Cloud one day, and I noticed that my battery was at 53%. I thought I would have to charge it soon, but I decided to play for a bit longer. Two hours later, I was done with my session, and I checked the battery level. To my surprise, it was only 46%. That’s right, I only lost 7% of battery after two hours of playing a high-end game. How is that possible?

Well, it’s not just because of the cloud gaming technology, although that certainly helps. Streaming games from the cloud means that the device doesn’t have to run them locally, which saves a lot of power and resources. But even streaming games can drain your battery quickly, as I learned from using my Samsung mobile phone with Xbox Cloud gaming. That thing can barely last an hour before it needs to be plugged in.

No, the real secret behind the Logitech G Cloud’s amazing battery life is its smart design and hardware choices. It has a massive 6000 mAh battery under the hood, which is larger than most smartphones and tablets. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor, which is modest and designed for low power consumption. It’s clear that Logitech prioritized battery life over raw performance when creating this device, and it paid off.

The Logitech G Cloud can fully charge in just over two hours, and then provide cloud gaming for up to 12 hours. That’s right, 12 hours of uninterrupted gaming on a single charge. I probably charge this thing once a week, which is mind-blowing. No other handheld device can match that level of endurance and convenience. It is truly a game-changer for handheld gamers.

Xbox Cloud Gaming has never been so easy

I’m a big fan of Xbox Cloud Gaming, as it allows me to play a wide range of games from the Xbox Game Pass library on any device. I have played games like Vampire Survivors and Hi-Fi Rush almost exclusively on the cloud, as they are perfect for handheld gaming. I have some fantastic Xbox Cloud gaming controllers, such as the Turtle Beach Atom, that I use with my smartphone or tablet.

But ever since I got the Logitech G Cloud, I have put those controllers aside. The Logitech G Cloud is just more comfortable and convenient to use than any of my mobile controllers ever could be. Its built-in controls feel natural and responsive, and a 7-inch touchscreen that displays the games in high quality. The Xbox Game Pass app is smooth, fast, and easy to use on the Logitech G Cloud, and I have been playing some fun games with my son, such as Paw Patrol Racing. But surprisingly, Xbox Cloud Gaming wasn't my main use for the device, contrary to what I first though, it's capable of more.

Xbox console streaming works brilliantly

One of the coolest features of the Logitech G Cloud is that it can stream games from my Xbox console. This means that I can play any game that I have installed on my console, even if it’s not available on the cloud. I had tried console streaming before with my Razerbook, but it was a disappointing experience. The connection was unstable and laggy, and the graphics were blurry and pixelated. I had given up on console streaming altogether, until I learned that I could use the Logitech G Cloud for it. I was skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a try. I was amazed by how well it worked.

I was able to play Remnant 2 on the Logitech G Cloud, sitting in a totally different room from my Xbox Series S. The game ran smoothly and looked great on the 7-inch screen. I didn't expect it to work well at all given my previous experiences with it, but lo and behold the Logitech G Cloud surprised me again.

For those who have played Remnant 2, you probably already know it’s not a game you want to experience any latency with. Rolling and dodging are as integral to the game’s big boss fights as they are in Elden Ring and Dark Souls. Well, I had some great gaming sessions on the Logitech G Cloud and didn’t experience any noticeable latency at all. I can experience my whole gaming library on this thing, and not just rely on what’s supported on the Xbox Cloud.

Nvidia GeForce Now is actually incredible

One of the perks of getting the Logitech G Cloud is that it comes with one month’s worth of Nvidia GeForce Now access, at least in the UK. Nvidia GeForce Now is a cloud gaming service that lets you play games from your existing gaming libraries, such as Steam, on a streamed ‘rig’. This means that you can play games that are not available or compatible on other devices, as long as you have a good internet connection.  With no Baldurs Gate 3 in the forseeable future coming to Xbox, I'd already purchased on Steam and figured I'd take Nvidia GeForce Now for a spin.

It's actually bloody brilliant. Baldurs Gate 3 is Steam Deck verified, and while I haven't got to Act 3 yet, there have been reports of issues of how it runs on the device. I haven't had any performance issues yet but visually I've had to tamper a lot with the settings to get it looking decent on my Steam Deck. I had none of these problems with the Logitech G Cloud. As you are running the game via the cloud and effectively, via another much more powerful computer, there's no settings to tamper with at all and the game looks gorgeous.

There were some minor drawbacks, though. Sometimes, when I launched the game, I got some confusing error messages. One of them said that the installed driver didn’t match the minimum recommended for the game. This was not something that I could fix, as I had no control over the driver updates on the streamed ‘rig’. I ignored the message and hoped that Nvidia had advertised it as compatible. It worked fine, luckily.

Another message that popped up occasionally was that the game had a patch to download and that it would ‘take a while’. This happened when the game had received an update, but Nvidia GeForce Now hadn’t synced with it yet. This was annoying, as I had to wait for a few hours before I could play the game again. I doubt this would be a problem with a game that was more stable and finished, though.

Overall, I'm really impressed by Nvidia GeForce Now and how it lets me play Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Logitech G Cloud. It's like having a powerful PC in my hands, without having to worry about hardware requirements. I can play any game from my Steam library on this device, and not just rely on what’s available on the Xbox Cloud.

Is the Logitech G Cloud worth it? 

For me, who already has an array of gaming devices, the Logitech G Cloud is a frivolous addition that on the surface doesn't bring anything completely new, however its hefty battery life and comfort of use means it's become my favorite device for handheld gaming.

The Logitech G Cloud is priced at $349.99 in the US, which might seem steep for a cloud gaming device. But I think it’s worth every penny, considering its features and performance. It's essentially a very powerful android tablet, and it's certainly miles above any other android tablet I've ever used. I would love to see the price come down in the future, maybe in some Prime sales now that the device is on Amazon, as I think it would attract more attention. But even at its current price, I think it’s a great investment for handheld gamers.

I've grown to love it and think regardless of price you won't be disappointed if you do take the plunge. I was skeptical, but Logitech, I can officially say I'm converted to the G Cloud.

• Loupedeck is a creator of custom consoles and software designed for live streamers, digital creators, and gamers based in Helsinki, Finland.
• Logitech and Corsair are both dashing to scoop up the live streamer market, with Corsair having previously acquired Loupedeck competitor El Gato and Logitech having previously acquired Streamlabs.

Logitech has announced its acquisition of Loupedeck, a creator of custom consoles for live streamers, digital creators, and gamers. Loupedeck's line of products includes the Loupedeck+, the Creative Tool (CT), and the Live and Live S—custom-built consoles designed to improve the workflow when editing audio, videos, and photos as well as live-streaming.

Loupedeck is headquartered in Finland and was founded in 2016. The manufacturer rose to prominence in the live streaming and digital content creation space after a successful Indiegogo campaign for the original Loupedeck console designed to streamline the process of editing photos in Adobe Lightroom. With the help of former Nokia designers, Loupedeck has gone on to create a variable array of products that can improve the workflow for creatives across various artistic mediums. 

The acquisition by Logitech should come as little surprise as Logitech and Corsair have been neck and neck in the race to snatch up live streaming market share. Corsair acquired Loupedeck competitor Elgato, makers of the popular Stream Deck series of products, along with other live-streaming accessories, in 2018. Logitech followed up by purchasing Streamlabs, makers of live-streaming software, in 2019 for $89 million in cash with an additional payment of $29 million in Logitech shares. The cost of the Loupedeck acquisition for Logitech remains undisclosed, however, they did state it was a "non-material" amount meaning it was less than $20 million. 

According to the press release from Logitech, the acquisition of Loupedeck is anticipated to deliver a more premium experience in Logitech's content creation applications while providing the opportunity for a "tighter coupling" between Loupedeck branded devices and Streamlabs software applications.  "Joining Logitech allows us to elevate what we are doing to the next level and exponentially broaden our audience and our impact to the creative process," said Mikko Kesti, Loupedeck's chief executive officer.

In addition to previously acquiring Streamlabs in 2019, Logitech has also made acquisitions in the creator space by purchasing gaming peripheral company Saitek, gaming headset manufacturer Astro, and popular live-streaming and podcasting Blue Microphones. Although earlier this year, Logitech announced it would be retiring the Blue branding while continuing to manufacture popular models such as the Yeti and Snowball microphones which are widely considered to be some of the best microphones for streaming.

Why I love this keyboard (and this deal)

Above all else, what I love most about the G915 TKL is its slim and low-profile design. Many gaming keyboards are on the thick and tall side, but this one is much lower to the surface of my desk and has much shorter key travel than most boards as well. For me, this results in a typing and gaming experience that's faster, more responsive, and more comfortable. At the same time, I never have to worry about the keyboard slipping or moving around on me, as its aircraft-grade aluminum body is heavy enough to keep it firmly in place. The tenkeyless design that axes the numpad also makes it narrower than full-sized boards, and it takes up less of my desk space as a result (the full-sized version of the G915 is also on sale for $169.99, FYI).

There are three different switches that you can configure the G915 TKL with: clicky, tactile, and linear. I strongly prefer the latter since I despise loud keyboards and prefer keystrokes that are as quick as possible when playing games, but the other options are there for folks that like the resistance and sound of bumpy, clicky switches.

Some other nifty features of the G915 TKL include a suite of media control keys that come in handy when watching films or TV shows, LED indicators for the board's battery life and whether or not Caps Lock is active, and full Bluetooth support in addition to Logitech's USB dongle-based wireless connectivity. Speaking of that, I've never had a single connection issue throughout the two years I've used this board, and the 40-hour battery life is great, too.

As someone who likes RGB but doesn't want an obnoxious amount of it, I've also grown to appreciate Logitech's low-key approach to backlighting. There are countless colors and patterns to customize the board with in the excellent Logitech G HUB software, but the lighting itself is always subtle, which I love.

Ultimately, the G915 TKL is simply an amazing wireless gaming keyboard, and I can't recommend it enough — especially when it's this heavily discounted. The high price of the board is typically what steers most people away, but thanks to this amazing deal, it's more affordable than ever. Just make sure you act fast and take advantage of it soon, as it's unclear how long it will continue to persist now that Amazon's sales event has concluded.

While you don't need a racing wheel controller to enjoy the latest and greatest racing games, they add an entirely new dimension to the experience and make playing them more immersive and engaging. For years, we've strongly recommended both the Logitech G920 and the Logitech G29, as their excellent quality and features make them some of the best wheels that money can buy. Normally, getting one would set you back $300 or $400, respectively, but thanks to these amazing Prime Day deals, you can save up to $200 and get either wheel for just $199.99.

The Logitech G920 is what you'll need if you're racing through top Xbox racing titles like Forza Horizon and Motorsport, while the G29 is for PlayStation fans looking to burn rubber in Gran Turismo and other games on Sony's platform. Note that both wheels are compatible with Windows PCs as well, though since they're both the same price during Prime Day and the G29 has some extra features, we recommend using the G29 with your gaming rig.

Why we like these wheel deals

Even though both of these racing wheels were introduced to the market many years ago, they've proven to be so good that Logitech hasn't had a reason to fix what's not broken. For starters, both the G920 and G29 are incredibly well-built and designed with premium leather, steel, and other materials, and both also come with sturdy, pressure-sensitive pedals for acceleration and braking. You also get clamps with everything to ensure that your setup stays rigid and in place as you race for the finish line.

Some other features you get include dual-motor force feedback, authentic 900 degree lock-to-lock rotation, and onboard buttons for easy menu navigation. Note that wheel sensitivity, force feedback levels, and button mapping can be customized on both wheels in Logitech's G HUB software.

The G29 also comes with RPM lights to help with gear shifts, along with some extra plus/minus buttons and a control knob you can use to tweak your vehicle from the driver's seat. Normally, it's more expensive than the G920 because of this, but for Prime Day both wheels are the same price. Because of that, you should only go with the G920 if you're playing on Xbox.

If you are a serious gamer, you already know that the keyboard you use can make a huge difference in your performance and experience. You need a keyboard that can respond quickly, accurately and reliably to your commands, and that can withstand the wear and tear of long gaming sessions. On top of the mechanical functions, this is a tenkeyless keyboard, meaning it's smaller and lighter than a normal keyboard, and takes up less space on your gaming desk. You'll have more room to play with, literally, due to the reduced distance between your main gaming keys and your mouse.

In case you missed it, those of us on this side of the pond in the UK and Europe have finally got access to the Logitech G Cloud, the first "Xbox handheld" that launched in the US back in October 2022. When we reviewed the Logitech G Cloud back in December it was held back by limited availability and a high price tag, but at least the availability issue is now solved as you can purchase it on Amazon in most countries. At time of writing we've checked UK, Germany and French stores, and it's even available at Currys in the UK (a popular bricks and mortar electrical retailer). Logitech's press release states it's also available in Spain, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

European customers also get up to six months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate bundled with the unit so they can take advantage of Xbox Cloud Gaming, one month of Nvidia GeForce Now, and one month of Shadow PC.

What is the Logitech G Cloud?

The Logitech G Cloud is a portable device for cloud gaming, with special features to enhance video quality from platforms like Xbox Cloud Gaming with Xbox Game Pass, NVIDIA GeForce Now, and Steam Link. It only works with WiFi and does not have LTE for 4G or 5G connectivity. It is mainly for playing games from the cloud at home on the sofa.

Some have raised eyebrows at it's price point considering the lack of 5G support and if the Logitech is indeed worth the outlay when you compare to the Razer Edge, however the latter is considerably more expensive for the 5G model and still only available in the US. Logitech G Cloud Tech Specs

Logitech have added some improvements to the G Cloud Gaming Handheld since it's launch and continue to support it with regular updates, it now boasts several performance enhancements following feedback from it's community. You can now  map physical buttons to screen points, so you can play mobile games without a controller, and adjust analog stick sensitivity and curve, for more precise and personalized controls. With this launch also comes  a new collaboration with Shadow Cloud Computing, which lets you use your gaming handheld as a virtual PC; and gives you the choice to customize dead zones for joysticks and triggers. 

The market for handhelds grows ever larger

The handheld market for Xbox and PC games is heating up with the Logitech G Cloud, the Razer Edge, the Steam Deck and the latest contender, the Asus ROG Ally. These devices have different features and designs, but they all target the same audience of gamers who want to play outside of the constraints of a TV screen or computer desk.

This is a welcome development for countries outside of the US, where handheld options have been limited. More availability and choice means more competition and innovation, which ultimately benefits consumers.

Logitech's Streamlabs service is adding a new set of podcasting tools to its Streamlabs Ultra subscription service.  With these new tools users who are subscribed to Streamlabs Ultra will be able to utilize the built in Podcast Editor to make the most of their content by auto-generating transcripts, resize content for easier promotion across platforms like Tiktok and Instagram, include real-time translations and further customize their clips. Streamlabs uses text-based editing methods for these functions, making them easy to use and accessible regardless of your editing skill level.

Streamlabs will also be embracing AI-assisted tools to make it easier for the user to locate clip highlights, truncate silence and remove filler words like "ums" and "oohs" from their content. This quick and efficient method for editing will speed up the process by hours.

According to Streamlabs more than 464.7 million people listen to podcasts globally, so the addition of the Podcast Editor comes at a time when more people than ever have the potential to tune in and hear your content.  This further expands to Just Chatting content on Twitch which has an estimated 826 million hours of watch time just in Q1 of 2023. With the Podcast Editor software those Just Chatting streamers can further optimize their content for redistribution on other platforms, expanding their reach to new viewers and listeners.

While Streamlabs Ultra subscribers have the option to edit up to 40 hours of content through the software as part of their subscription, you can try out the Podcast Editor tools in order to edit up to one hour's worth of content per month for free.  A Streamlabs Ultra subscription also comes with additional software including Streamlabs Desktop, the Streamlabs Web Suite, Streamlabs Mobile, Talk Studio Pro, Video Editor Pro, and Cross Clip Pro. Regardless of the content you make or how you want to share it Streamlabs has a tool to help you further improve your engagement.

As part of the Streamlabs Ultra program, Logitech and Streamlabs have partnered with a multitude of streamers to promote the software. One streamer, QTCinderella, has grown her Twitch subscriber count by nearly one million users since she began streaming in 2018.  "If you're not posting to other platforms, you're shooting yourself in the foot", said QTCinderella. In addition, to further spread the news of Streamlabs' new Podcast Editor the Logitech-owned brand has partnered with Rhett & Link of Good Mythical Morning fame.

The popular Youtubers have amassed a large audience across their long-running Youtube channels and have stated that they wished the Podcast Editor software had been around when they were just starting their Youtube journey.

At my desk live three Logitech accessories that I use just about every day. The Logitech ERGO K860 keyboard and Logitech MX Vertical mouse help me write hundreds of articles without placing as much strain on my wrists as normal accessories. Sitting just below my monitor is the Logi Dock, which connects my peripherals and monitor to my PC. Needless to say, I'm a big fan of Logitech and its hardware.

While Logitech has sales throughout the year, some of their best accessories are rarely discounted. For example, I called the Logitech ERGO K860 a must-buy at $25 off earlier this year (sadly that sale is over). Even $5 off the Logitech MX Vertical mouse made it worth it in my eyes last Black Friday (that device is actually $10 off through Amazon at the moment).
