Xbox app

With the latest build of the Windows 10 Insider Preview there are a number of apps we're getting a look at for the first time. One of those is the universal Xbox app, destined to replace the current Smartglass app eventually.

As this is the new universal app there's a lot in common with the desktop version we've already seen. The feature set is a little more stripped back, but ultimately it's the same. Just, well, smaller.

The Xbox One Store isn't present in this build, nor it seems is access to your own Game DVR clips. Microsoft warns (as ever) that it's a very early look, so bear that in mind. There are also some comically large things going on in the OneGuide. To try it yourselves you'll need to download it from the newly added Store (Beta) on your phone.

We'll be taking a closer look at a lot of what's in this latest build soon, but for now check out a screenshot gallery of the new Xbox app below.
