The next big update for Halo 5: Guardians is on the way, introducing new content, changes to Forge and a huge slew of tweaks to both Arena and Warzone. With the Monitor's Bounty update taking effect on both Xbox One and Windows 10 on December 8, 343 Industries is continuing to detail what it will entail.

Details have now been revealed surrounding upcoming changes to Arena playlists, which are now being divided into separate Social and Ranked lists. Unlike at launch, where skill-ranked playlists and casual game types were lumped together, playlists are now clearly divided into their respective categories. The studio's Arena Design Lead, Quinn Delhoyo, clarified that as a result of the change "ranked playlists will be approached and handled more sacredly, and with a higher degree of scrutiny".

Here's a full list of all the playlists available after the Monitor's Update across both the Ranked and Social playlists.

Ranked Playlists

  • Team Arena
  • Slayer
  • Doubles
  • Snipers
  • SWAT
  • Breakout
  • FFA

Social Playlists

  • Team Skirmish
  • Action Sack
  • Infection
  • Big Team Battle
  • Triple Team
  • Super Fiesta
  • Shotty Snipers
  • Grifball
