What you need to know

  • Halo: Reach is a first-person shooter from Bungie.
  • The game is coming to PC soon.
  • Beta builds for PC should roll out to testers in June.

A few weeks ago, 343 Industries announced that Halo: Reach was rolling out to PC beta testers in May. Unfortunately, those plans never materialized. Today, during a livestream where the developer showcased gameplay from the beta build, the team revealed that the beta would roll out to testers in June. It's unclear when in June, but it may be towards the end of the month given how June is only a few days away.

Halo: Reach looks incredible on PC, as it features a significantly higher resolution and frame rate than Xbox 360. However, given the fact that the game is also coming to Xbox One X through Halo: The Master Chief Collection, you'll be able to play it at 4K and 60 frames per second on the console.

Interestingly, the build will utilize the "Title Update" settings for matchmaking. This should ensure a smooth experience for Halo: Reach's multiplayer modes. Let's hope the June flighting schedule for the beta sticks because it has been delayed a number of times.
