How to blast music on Sonos from your Windows PC.

You've got your Sonos player all set up and you're ready to fill your house with the sweet strains of your favorite music. There are a few ways that you can get started. Let's review them:

How to add a music service to the Sonos Controller app for Windows 10 PC

  1. Launch the Sonos app from your Desktop or the Start menu.
  2. Click Add Music Services under Select a Music Source.

  1. Click on your desired music service. You will have to log in to your account to use the service.

If you don't see the music service you want to use listed, you can click on More Music Choices at the bottom of the list to be taken to a webpage with an expanded list of music services that work with Sonos.

How to play music from a music service with the Sonos Controller app for Windows 10 PC

  1. Launch the Sonos app from your Desktop or the Start menu.
  2. Click on the music service you want to play from under Select a Music Source.

From there, you'll have different sorting options depending on the music service you're using.

Once you have selected the music you want to play, use the standard media controls to play, pause, rewind, fast-forward, or stop playback.

How to play your own music on the Sonos Controller app for Windows 10 PC

  1. Launch the Sonos app from your Desktop or the Start menu.
  2. Click Music Library under Select a Music Source.

  1. Click on your desired sorting for the song(s) you want to play:
    • Artists
    • Albums
    • Composers
    • Genres
    • Songs
    • Imported Playlists
    • Folders
  2. Click the arrow to the right of the song you want to play.
  3. Click your desired option from the pop-up list:
    • Click Play Now to play the song immediately.
    • Click Play Next to play the song after the current song finishes.
    • Click Add to Queue to schedule the song to play in a line-up.
    • Click Replace Queue to replace the current queue.
    • Click Add to Sonos Favorites to add the song to Sonos Favorites.
    • Click Add to Sonos Playlist to add the song to a Sonos Playlist.
    • Click Info & Options to get additional information and options.

How to search for music in the Sonos Controller app for Windows 10 PC

If you are looking for a specific track or artist, you can search easily for it, whether you're looking at your music library or a music service. Here's how to do it:

  1. Launch the Sonos app from your Desktop or the Start menu.
  2. Click the arrow on the left side of the search box to choose where you want Sonos to search.
  3. Type your search query into the search box.
