Jokebox, a Windows Phone 8 app that hopes to leave you ROFL

Heard any good jokes lately?  If not, the Windows Phone 8 app Jokebox hopes to change that.

And if you have heard a few good jokes, the app will let you share your witticism with others to see if you are really that funny.  Jokebox is laid out in straightforward fashion and does have a few wisecracks that may make you crack a smile.

Once you launch Jokebox the first joke will be displayed where you can up or down vote the joke as you see fit.  A tally of the votes will be displayed below each arrow.  Once voted on, another joke will appear.

Should you have a joke of your own that you would like to share, just tap the “tell” button at the bottom of the screen, choose your screen name and type out your joke.  Your ratings will then be displayed at the top, right corner of the screen with each up vote will equal one point.  If you tap on your ratings score, you can pull up a listing of all your jokes and see how they rank.

With the app being fresh off the drawing board the collection of jokes are a little on the thin side.  Some of the jokes leave the room filled with the sound of crickets while others are not too shabby.  I wouldn't mind seeing the layout shift to more of a panoramic view with a Joke page where you can view and rate other's jokes and a My Joke page where you can see all your jokes but the current layout works.

Jokebox is a free app, available for Windows Phone 8 and you can find your copy here in the Windows Phone Store.
