Life is Strange: Before the Storm acts as a prequel to the five-part Life is Strange, taking place three years before the events of that game. Despite being developed by a different studio, Before the Storm largely feels like Life is Strange, with a heavy focus on its narrative and its episodic nature. And, despite some small concerns, we found Before the Storm Episode 1 to be well worth checking out in our review.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm Episode 2 will arrive on October 19. For now, you can check out the game's first episode on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam at $5.99 for the episode or $16.99 for the full season.
