Ever since Xbox One backward compatibility was announced, gamers have been asking for a few high-profile games. While the majority of requests revolve around the Call of Duty franchise, the Lost Planet franchise has been other hot series. Today, Microsoft announced that the Lost Planet series and Resident Evil — Code: Veronica X are now backward compatible.
Backward compatibility opens Xbox One to a huge variety of games, spanning three generations of Microsoft's consoles. Despite hardware differences, it remains an outstanding feature, allowing a select library of older games to be played on Xbox One. While the majority of them are Xbox 360 titles, there are also some original Xbox games in there. To date, gamers have enjoyed well over a billion hours of backward compatible games, and the catalog now includes over five hundred Xbox 360 games alone.

In Lost Planet, human snow pirates navigate Vital Suits through hostile ice-covered environments, fighting against the indigenous Akrid creatures for the precious thermal energy they need to survive. For one such pilot named Wayne, death almost seemed imminent until he was fortunately rescued.
Lost Planet 2
The next installment in the popular Lost Planet action series, Lost Planet 2 is a third-person shooter which continues the story of humanity's futuristic struggles and attempts at colonization on the planet E.D.N. III. The game features a blend of new role-playing elements and features that made the original game a huge success, including massive boss battles against the alien Akrid creatures.
Lost Planet 3
Lost Planet 3 is a combination first and third-person shooter that is the 2013 prequel to the entire Lost Planet game franchise. The extreme and unpredictable conditions that characterized the Lost Planet series return, harsher than ever before as new truths about the foreboding planet and the colonial history of E.D.N. III are revealed.

Lost Planet Colonies contains all-new multiplayer modes so that you can enjoy killing Akrid creatures together.
Resident Evil — Code: Veronica X
It has been three months since the destruction of Raccoon City. Claire Redfield travels to Europe in search of her brother. Claire infiltrates the Paris laboratory of the Umbrella Corporation, but is captured after a heated gun fight. The captured Claire is then sent to Rockfort Island, but shortly after her arrival the island is attacked. Amidst the chaos, a horde of zombies are released! Can Claire escape the horrors of the island?
