The Medium PC requirements revealed

What you need to know

  • The Medium is an upcoming horror game being developed by Bloober Team.
  • The minimum and recommended specs for running The Medium have been revealed.
  • The requirements are rather high, befitting a next-generation game.
  • The Medium is currently scheduled to launch at some point in Holiday 2020.

While incoming horror title The Medium is a console launch exclusive for the Xbox Series X, it's also going to be available on PC. Bloober Team has detailed the kinds of specs you'll need to run the game at 1080p, 4K or 4K with ray-tracing. As you might expect from a next-generation game, hitting the highest settings requires extremely powerful hardware.

The Medium minimum requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64bit version only)
  • CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-6600 / AMD Ryzen™ 5 2500X
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon™ R9 390X (or equivalent with 4 GB VRAM)
  • DirectX: 11
  • Disc Space: 30 GB (SSD recommended)
  • Sound: DirectX compatible
  • Notes: Headphones recommended

  • Notes: Headphones recommended
  • OS: Windows 10 (64bit version only)
  • CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-9600 / AMD Ryzen™ 7 3700X

  • DirectX: 12
  • Disc Space: 30 GB (SSD recommended)

  • Notes: Headphones recommended

Bloober notes that regardless of which levels of detail you're targeting, it is recommended you install the game to an SSD. It is also highly recommended you play with headphones. There's some room for flexibility when it comes to the GPU though.

The Medium is set to be released at some point in Holiday 2020. We'll be sure to let you know know when an official releae date is announced.
