Microsoft beefs up low-end Surface Book with discreet GPU option

It looks like Microsoft has added another configuration option for the new Surface Book that may well prove to be a popular one. The new option packs 128GB of storage along with 8GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5 processor and a discrete GPU.

The new option sits right above the the lowest tier configuration, and carries all of the same specs, save for the addition of the discrete graphics card. With this addition, it looks like there's a discrete graphics option across the board for all memory, hard drive, and CPU configurations, opening up a lot of potential customization options for prospective buyers.

This one comes in at $1,699 — which is $200 more than the next lowest model and the same price as the 256GB storage option without a discrete graphics card.
