Those who use Microsoft Movies & TV will want to head to the Store for an update. Version 3.6.1382.0 is now live for those on Windows 10 for PC and Windows 10 Mobile.

The updated media app does not have a changelog within it. However, Microsoft's Ellen Kilbourne posted the changes to her Twitter account. Although they are relatively minor, you may still be interested.

Microsoft Movies & TV v3.6.1382.0

  • Changes to help people understand the types of content that show up in each of the pivots and how to add more
  • A change that exposes the metadata for the video you're watching in a more prominent way

What those means in the real world we're not too sure, so if you have a concrete example let us know. The first appears to be the new Store link in the upper area for a cleaner hand off to getting more content.

While we're at it, might as well mention that the Windows 10 DVD Player app is updated too. This update is more about preparation.

Windows DVD Player v3.6.1329.0

  • Less visible changes in this's mostly about getting the app ready for future builds of the OS.

Kilbourne goes on to explain that "if you're on the very latest builds on desktop, you'll see handling of mouse input is better." So there's that.
