Microsoft has started sending out press invites to its Xbox E3 briefing, and it looks like we're in for not only the usual game announcements but also more details on Project Scorpio. The invite is based on the same silicon theme Microsoft has used in its Scorpio promo material so far, promising more to come on the previously announced E3 briefing date of June 11, 2017.

Microsoft starts sending out invites to its Scorpio-filled Xbox E3 briefing

In a new post on Xbox Wire today, Xbox chief Phil Spencer also teased a little bit of what we can expect at E3, stating:

I'm proud of the progress made with Project Scorpio and what it will mean for the creators who fuel the passion of gamers around the world. On behalf of everyone at Team Xbox, thank you for your continued passion and support. We're excited to unveil Project Scorpio and the amazing game experiences it powers at E3 this June.

Microsoft has already revealed quite a bit about the next Xbox in a series of early reveals this month. We first got a look at Scorpio's full specs, revealing the. beastly hardware that will push its six teraflops of 4K power. And if that weren't enough, the Scorpio dev kit was also shown off, giving us a peek at what developers are working with. The biggest pieces of the puzzle left to be revealed are what the production console will actually look like, along with its price and release date.

The Xbox E3 briefing is set to take place at 2 P.M. PT / 5 P.M. ET.
