The Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter now on sale in most of Europe

Microsoft has expanded the availability of its recently-launched Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. The HDMI dongle, which went on sale in the US and Canada in the fall of 2014 for the price of $59.99, can now be bought in 25 more countries.

Microsoft doesn't offer a list of the new markets, but it did say that the Wireless Display Adapter is now on sale in "most countries in Europe, as well as South Africa." The device will be sold in even more countries in March, including parts of Asia and Australia. The adapter allows Miracast-based Windows 8.1 notebooks, tablets and smartphones to mirror or extend their screens to a large monitor or TV. It also supports devices with Android 4.2.1.or later, along with tablets and 2-in-1 notebooks with Intel's Wireless Display (WiDi) hardware.
